Great deal. Got one of these 10Gb Network Cards to use on my PC to my Synology DS1821+ 10Gb card on my NAS via my 10Gb Switch. Works a treat. And better than the Asus version as there is actually firmware updates available for the TPLink version.

Any major advantages over a used intel X540-T2 for $30-40 off ebay?
Last time I looked the most compatible chipset was Aquantia which is what this card uses and Intel 10GB was a lot more driver issues but not done any research lately. Ended up just going 2.5GB
Ah, I'll probably just end up going 2.5G anyway since I'll only be getting 2.5G switches. If I want 10G I'll just keeping using the one fibre line I have to directly connect my NAS to my PC lol.
I'd say the only thing is that it can do 2.5 or 5Gb as well as 10Gb which may suit some use cases. I had to go to an x550 for that.
Also it's PCIex4 rather than x8 like intel cards
Or generic intel chip from aliexpress:

@cheach: Let us know if it works please
@eototo: Sure thing
@eototo: Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
This card is not showing up in the Synology DS1821. Not sure if the card is dead or incompatible.However, this SP310/ X520-DA2 works. Also got couple of this SFP+. Both works on the UDM Pro and Cisco switch as well.
Someone may want to try price matching/beating at Bunnings
https://www.bunnings.com.au/tp-link-tx401-10-gigabit-pci-exp…
its Harris Tech on bunnings market place… so that is a no
Id strongly recommend against these and their chipsets. I've had many issues which I couldn't resolve on several machines just disconnecting and not working until a full restart. Do some research
No issues with mine. I agree do some research.
I had the exact same issue! Would try to copy files and try to saturate the 10GB link and it would outright fail until a restart. Intel NICs have always worked well for me.
Not looked in a while but that does seem like a pretty good price
