Just be weary its listed as "international model" so its a grey import and possibly could have warranty issues if needing to claim it.

I was under the assumption that they’re all Snapdragon models now?

    • +2

      S23 was all snapdragon

S24 only the Ultra is SD. S24 base and plus are Exynos in AU market.

      • Ah ok. Thanks for clarifying!

  • No samsung pay

    • Is that on all S24s or on this 'international model' version.

Also what's the advantage/difference between Samsung Pay (Wallet) and Google Wallet; my Google search shows same-same but Google Wallet better as it can be ported to other Android devices

    • +1

Just install and use Google Pay. Works easier as well

    • both samsung pay and google pay work

  • Has anyone tested the international Snapdragon version on Telstra/Boost to see if it has VoLTE and VoWIFI?

    • Likely that you'll encounter technical IN-compatibility issues & hence worth the risk for a few hundred dollars ?

      Have you consider a PREVIOUS-model Samsung AU-approved phone, say S23-Ultra-> https://nanoreview.net/en/phone-compare/samsung-galaxy-s24-v…

Samsung releasing new-models YEARLY & hence S23 is likely to be discounted soon to clear old-stock-> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/samsung-galaxy-s23

Users don't appreciate the complexity (& differences) of EACH-country's mobile-network & the many-regions phone-manufacturers must release PER-model. Then there is variations in the software needed to make them work. Not sure if you want to learn this the hard way, nor you want to a buy S24 base on someone's comments @ Ozbargain/forum.

The S24 model list is likely to be IN-complete & will grow, new product-> https://www.frequencycheck.com/brands/samsung?commit=Search&…

I have an S23 with a Snapdragon and have been very happy with its battery life. I would have bought the S24 but for the Exynos processor which, according to reviews, has an inferior battery life to the Snapdragon version of the S24. I am too aware of the problem with using overseas phones in Australia (having tried to use Sony phones bought overseas). I am not looking to buy this to save money but to get better performance.

Hopefully someone who has bought the international version will be able to confirm whether it has VoLTE or VOWifi on Telstra/Boost (I know Vodafone is usually better with overseas phone compatibility but where I live, I only get Telstra coverage).

I just got it today (took 8 days to ship) and Its the China model https://www.kimovil.com/en/where-to-buy-samsung-galaxy-s24-8…
I'm super happy with it but here is one thing that has annoyed me thus far, is that it doesn't have esim support, it has two sim slots which isn't the end of the world but I had to spend more on a physical sim for my upcoming Japan trip
also some other things to note:
          - cannot get Samsung care plus (I have a screen protector and case already because I'm in it for the long haul)
          - 1 year warranty but I don't wanna test that
          - shipping was long

in the end, I would way rather have the snapdragon for example, I charged my phone to 80% in the morning and left it on my bench at home and came back 6ish hours later to it being. 74%

also with the link you can see what bands each model has to check if its compatible to your desired network which in Australia its good to go

@zilox007: Thanks for your reply. I did check the link but couldn’t see if it had VoLTE and VoWiFi for Telstra? It does have most of the bands but that might not be enough.

          • @zilox007: I am also keen to know if VoLTE and VoWifi are working with Telstra. If you could confirm (or even with another network), I would love to know.

@Erwark: I'm not too sure because I cannot find the vowifi/volte option
But it does have WiFi calling
Unless I'm looking in the wrong spot

I am also looking for Dual physical Sim model (only international models have the dual physical sim compared to AU models).

Although there is no mention of any Snapdragon dual physical sim models??? (only exynos for the ones listed)

OP/or anyone have you bought and got the phone to confirm the model??

  • Got my s24+ from same shop. Wanted the snapdragon but didn't want the ultra. Had the phone a few days now, extremely happy with it. Phone is snappy, light and the battery life is excellent. Shame about no eSIM though.

  • Mine took 8 days to even show up on the shipping tracker… Hope the actual shipping doesn't take too long.

Just got mine today (is Chinese Snapdragon) and can confirm VoWifi and VoLTE (4G & 5G) both work on Telstra (Boost). Happy.

  • Ordered the black version through MyDeal on 29th March but they've only just cancelled on me because the seller could not fulfill
