Or anywhere in the description would be nice. FFS, how hard is it to read the guidelines before posting.

  • As long as Convoy International are HKs distributors, I will never buy another HK product again.
These guys provide some of the worst service possible.

I've had good experiences with HK Distributors. However if you want cheap stuff then you must deal with them, if not then deal with local people and pay the hefty twice or 3 times the price (aka Australia Tax).

Also what does Convoy have to do with this deal???

How does this compare to the Pioneer VSX-521 for $99?

      • +1

It seems you are referring to international distributors, and probably not the official distributors as that.

"Also what does Convoy have to do with this deal???"

Convoy International are the Australian distributor for HK. They are a nightmare to deal with if you ever have any type of warranty issue.
I was about to make an official complaint against them with the office of fair trading (form was filled in and about to hit submit)after being stuffed around by them for 2 months. It was this that finally got them to act.

So, if you purchase any HK product, good deal or not (I have not negged this) then this is where the support for this item ultimately rests.

  • The one from Dicksmith from a month back for $99 would be nice to see again!

    • I noticed the vsx-s300 is back in stock but $100 more than last time boo…..

  • Seems to have a good list of features, wonder what else I could get for a similar price though..

Given you'd want this to last for a long time, I'd like the option of 7.1 even if I only used 5.1 for a while.

Doesn't have DAB+ or internet capabilities and an extra HDMI port or two would be handy, but it does do upscaling and carries 3D at least…

Weird that the front aux is RCA, you'd think a 3.5mm socket would be more relevant given it would most likely be used for a phone/MP3 player.

  • Oh if only it had 2x HDMI outputs for TV and projector..

You will only find that on much higher specced units.
      Far higher price points.

      • yep refer to my post above… 600 bux for the yammi landed. (7.2 and 2xhdmi out) that was when it was cheap and i believe miscalculating postage… still a great price even at the new price.

at that price i couldnt resist… its 1200 from Yamaha australia!!!

  • Errr…why does votes show 0/0 ?

Don't it get 1 automatically from the poster???

  • have anyone got one of this?? and bought from this website before?
