Knipex Heavy Duty Plier Set 4 Piece $139 Delivered ($0 C&C/in-Store) @ Supercheap Auto

320

Knipex 4 piece plier set from Supercheap Auto is currently on clearance at $139, normally $199.

I have no idea if this would stack with one of their occasional 20% or 25% off days. I notice there's usually nothing on sale on those days!

Bit surprised this hasn't been published already to be honest. I came across it while looking for other stuff today.

In stock at my local, but looks likes it's also online with free shipping.

LPT: if you enter SCA and ask for knipex by name then remember it's not a silent K. It is pronounced Kuh Nip X.

    • Edit - wrong store.

    • I've never had an issue with pronouncing Knipex correctly because I enjoy pretending to have a seizure every time I say 'Knipex'.

At one point I was putting eneloops in my dishwasher and finish ultra tablets in my AA gadgets.

      Glad those days are over.

At least you didn't mix eneloops up with tampons. :)

  • Very nice price for local stock.

For an alternative, you can get a similar set from Amazon for $10 more - https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B06W9NRKR5/

Better grips, slightly smaller sidecutters and pliers - 180 vs 200.

This is just the whatever price for them on Amazon that they're at at the moment. Nothing special.

    • The red and blue grips are nice, but a bit too bulky for me. I use them when my hands are covered in grease since they are easier to grip, but for everything else I prefer this style grip on my pliers.

Price isn't too bad, similar to what you'd get from an Amazon deal, and you don't have to wait for them to be shipped from Germany.

      Only this one item.

  • I need tin snips

  • I use Irwin are they significantly better the Knipex? like never had an issue and thrash them like crazy

    • +1

The Irwin sidecutters and combination pliers are actually sharper according to project farm's tests. I've used both brands and I'd say the knipex feel more premium and are more durable long term. I personally prefer Klein Tools for those tools.

The Irwin water pump pliers are good, but the Knipex Cobras are the best you can get.

Really it depends on your use case and personal preferences. Nothing wrong with Irwin, they are really good value.

      • Ihave irwin, but i have started buying high end shielded units for 'minor electrical work'.
        Ie wera

    • Get what you can afford and need. The knipex supplemented my Irwins and are slowly taking over, but haven't been in a rush to replace the side cutters etc, just things that Irwin don't offer like Cobras

  • Now $111.20
