no monkey with makeup on would be caught with that one though because it doesn’t have that big handle for drink thirsty time coconut so good.
this one is the Quencher H2.0 Flowstate, not the Iceflow in the other deal. also it’s pink.

FYI the generic clones of these ones with the handle which they have rushed to market are going on sale on Amazon US for USD$25 or $38 right now.

… Bruh we don't need these

  • +1

    can i resell on stockX

  • +20

I honestly don't know how these things got popular. People are idiots.

    • +1

I mean they work pretty well. I've paid $40-$60 for Thermos branded products which have lasted 7+ years, it's a good investment if it promotes drinking more water.

      • +6

        Yeti seems a lot better

        • +12

Tiger or Zojirushi are undisputed kings of the insulated vacuum flask.

          • -1

            @ATangk:

            Zojirushi

I was going to say in another reply get something that's from japan but you answered it already so ill just respond to you.

yeah zojirushi comes up as the first japanese insulated tumbler. if you are serious about it better to buy one now before they stop making good stuff.

japan is apparently collapsing from not making enough people. part of the collapsing I think were toshiba and mitsubishi and they will have many sub brands that might stop making products.

            • @n3ck3ntry8bort0rgasm: The problem with making good products is that they last so long you don't need to replace them… My bottle from 2018 is still going strong, no leaks, a bit banged up on the bottom edge but no dents otherwise. At the time we bought like 10, many were gifted but so far I only know of one bottle which failed earlier this year (no longer insulating).

        • +3

But it’ll be $70-$100+ for a Yeti product

          • @NuttyGoodness: Mm not really sure, but I bet the Yeti product lasts longer than that stupid straw does.

            • +7

@Budju: The Project Farm tested all the various tumblers and the Stanley came out number 1. The Yeti actually failed one of the tests.

        • Maybe, but I don't think people buying Stanley's are idiots. They are objectively good products.

Some people just think they're really enlightened, contrarian edgelords by hating the current fashionable products, despite the quality of said products.

          • +1

@pharcyde: I've had a Stanley large thermos for like 10 years. I'm talking about this stupid bubble tea model.

          • @pharcyde: The imputation is that you're a mindless bugman compelled to buy said product because the current crop of pseudocelebrity on <insert platform> said you ought to.

            • @Ham Dragon: Those sentences I'm sure make you feel enlightened M'GoodSir but I'm purely looking at it from an objective standpoint.

I've owned Thermos for years, and Stanley now for a little while. I'd say the Stanley are as good as Thermos from me personally owning them. Take that for what you will. They cost me about the same.

              • @pharcyde: I've owned a Stanley kettle cooler for 10 years. I don't need some bubble tea kids model to drink my morning orange juice.

                • -1

@Budju: You sound old and bitter. Don't let it cloud your judgement.

              • @pharcyde: Not disputing the product, just the stupidity of people who feel compelled to own a certain item because they listen to someone who makes dance videos on tiktok ie kids demanding Frank Green water bottles.

        • No he doesn't.

      • How does this promote drinking more water?

    • +1

its because the shape looks like a flashlight. tiktok viewers want to see the pretty girls drinking out of them. its a psyop.

      • Not surprised that the person posting this $50 american cup is also calling a torch a flashlight

        • I'm quite sure he meant 'fleshlight'

          • @hvbarg: That makes sense, get the adoption out there first through tiktok babes, then sell the cock sleeve inserts separately afterwards

    • +1

i don't get it too. People want to be apart of something and not excluded, so they get it. As soon as something makes some noise on social media, people want it.
There are many insulated bottles available, people that get those seem to be to post photos with it and to say they have it.

      The herd following the sheep.

This tumbler did very well in Project Farm's test last month. Already in the Hydroflask ecosystem so I'll wait for a steeper discount before I try a Stanley.

    • +22

There's drink bottle ecosystems!?? Only ecosystem I've got is the black mould growing in my CamelBak squirt nozzle

      • I do like that you can get replaceable/interchangeable lids etc for the Hydroflask. I guess you probably can with the other brands but I already have a few extra bits for my hydro flask so I'll probably stick with them for a little while. I do like the range of colours too.

      • Bit too real with that comment, the mould drives me insane.

  • +4

    kmart one 15 bucks

  • +5

Do these still have lead in them ?

    • This is the exact question I have.

      • +2

Looks like they use lead to seal the two layers of the bottle together. A few brands still use the same/similar technique that Stanley uses, including Yeti that some other people seem to be praising in this very post.

Wired wrote an article about this topic recently. You can read it here

    • This model comes with extra lead

    • +1

      They are market leaders

    • As other commenters have pointed out, yes they do.

Even if well taken care of, there's a non-zero chance of lead exposure.

Bought a few. This will contribute enormously to our culture.

  • +3

The perfect gift for the current thing enjoyer in your life.

  • Did you miss this Thirst Quench 2.0 Tumbler 1200ml/40oz deal posted by Scrouge McDeal for $12.99?

Mine arrived today. Not worth $35, but possibly good value for $12. Time will tell.

    • "Did you miss this "

easy to miss since those dont appear when doom scrolling ozbargain.

      • I spend more time refreshing that page than the deals page.

        • damn you a pro. 😎

seems like you arent the only one. all the recent links are crossed out 😭.

  • -1

Thanks op. Got a black one…now I’ll be the coolest guy at work! 😎

  • +4

Nothing says value like overpriced lead exposure

  • Do these still leak if held upside down?

    • +2

      leaks your wallet straight away.

  • It is a world Lead-ing brand

  • thanks got 2!

  • Only the finest fakes

  • EBay has these for $30. Questionable if legit, but the one I got is identical to my original version, even the box in came in. Works exactly the same in terms of insulation and cleaning.

  • Black going for $52.75 although the equivalent Amazon "Berusd" knockoff is just $30 with mainly positive (though not many) reviews. Also not dishwasher safe, which might alone be worth the price difference for some.

I already have Camelbak but it would be nice not to have to use an adapter for the car cupholders…

  • Looks expensive for what it is.
