They were out within 5 mins lol. I don't think anyone got them.

That was the 48". And I believe although it showed that price it was unobtainable. Could not add to cart. No stock available.
i could have checked one out at hellensvale in gold coast but its 200 k away from me. didnt want to do the drive and be told they wont honor it
yeah i was there i reckon all orders got cancelled but id love to proven wrong.
They didn't cancel my order, I just pickup on the weekend. with 5 year warranty. at $945 all up.
They did honor it.
wish you kept that to yourself hahaha no im bloody upset I should made the drive.
@bob98: I can't be the only one, they should be others who got it as well.
here is the order. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-ZpTrhjHqzfTuEA_lOJcLShqsD…
This is a bad deal compared to Black Friday, Boxing Day, and even a deal a few weeks ago.
Hold off if you can, they will likely be $999 or $1100 by the end of March, the C4 was released and everyone is waiting for stock, then these C3's will go on steep discount.
The bigger issue though is stock levels. It's a gamble
I hope that's true will definitely snatch one up at that price
My aorus 48" oled is on it's last legs, wish I could find a deal for 48" LG anywhere.
whats wrong with it? I thought lg makes all the panels for those like the rog and ultra gear one.
Roughly every three times you use it and the panel protection runs after 4hrs of use, a black vertical line will appear right down the centre of the screen, sometimes after 4hrs it'll go away, or it'll turn white. It's very annoying and distracting. Also the internal clock on display is broken so it never knows how long it's been run for, and doesn't do the proper full compensation cycle. I work from home and use it every day, I think it's not LG's fault but rather Gigabyte's crap implementation.
burn in?

Aside from the vertical line there's no burn in with daily use of 8-12hrs a day since April 2022.
Warranty claim?
@Circly: I already got a refund because of the clock issue, Gigabyte Aus dont want to repair it even if I pay to send it down there and pay for the repair.
Price dropped to $1495 now, will hopefully drop more after the C4 releases this month (04/03 is the US release, not sure if we get the same release date)
seems they are generating random prices around the $1500.00 mark atm
Picked up a c2 for 1k shortly after the c3, suspect the same will occur soon enough!
looks like LG themselves have started to discount the C3
Dropped again to $1,450 … and now to $1,425.
I note videopro has it at $1,488.
Thinking about this as a replacement monitor - but have been wary at $1,500 … $1,200 or less would be yes, which according to some speculators here, might happen this month?
looks like everyone has it for max about $1495 now, looks like its starting to drop
like someone else in here mentioned you wont know stock levels
it's a good monitor for 1500 even the reddit posts about over dimming are mostly out of dateYeah saw that shortly after my post.
Now Appliance Central has dropped it again to $1,398 … very close to buying.
I'm just wondering if past year inflation/current economic conditions might not see a further significant price drop …. or whether it will happen when the C4 releases, not before.
I would also need a new graphics card for HDMI 2.1 @ 120Hz (currently have 2070S)

I'm on the fence about going with an OLED for my daily driver (12hrs+ daily average). What over dimming posts are you referring to? So I can read up on them.

Any search on "Lg C3 42 auto dimming" will bring up reddit posts on the topic. eg https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED_Gaming/comments/17n7nt9/gettin…
Apparently improved: supposedly still issues but there is conflicting info … and how the TV measures the static-ness of content with various picture modes and settings, also input - mouse input is not static, but keyboard typing could be etc.
I have actually looked at a few in-depth reviews of the C3 as a monitor - a couple mentioned the auto-dimming as a potential issue but something that could be worked-around.
@Mr Noob: Thanks for the links, seems like different people are experiencing different things. I wonder if some are running PC mode and others aren't etc.
I've been looking over OLEDs as a monitor for the past few days myself, it might be worth picking up one. I'm also not very sure on reflections being an issue as I'm so used to my matte screens.
I'll most likely bite at the $1200 mark, even if I only get a few years of use, that'll be okay.
I have a c3 there are no auto dimming issues
I'm using it as a pc monitor, sometimes it dims in desktop mode, you just move the mouse or browser etc a bit and wiggle to wake it up
recommended ++++
wonder if well see 1k ones at some point this year. tcl c8 series are cheaper than last year so heres to hoping.
