[NSW] Free Tickets to Kings Vs NZ Breakers 7.30pm Tonight (Wed 28 February) at Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney Olympic Park @ Ticketek

350

The Sydney Kings host the NZ Breakers in a Play-In Qualifier as part of the NBL Finals series. The game is being played at 7.30pm tonight at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.

Its a sudden death match - the loser's season is over and the winner goes on to play the loser of the JackJumpers v Hawks game.

The Sydney Kings are the reigning premiers but finished the season in 5th place which earned them a position in the NBL Play-In tournament. This tournament involves teams who finished 3rd-6th over the regular season. The top 2 teams from the Play-In tournament qualify for the NBL Playoff series which includes teams who finished 1st and 2nd from the regular season (Melbourne United and Perth Wildcats).

Its a long way to go for the Kings to defend their championship but this team has the roster to do it!

I'd go if the NBL didn't put the games on a Wednesday night… Crazy decision. Especially with the huge gap between end of Season. I understand the Aus Boomers had two games to play but still

Yes, these playin tournaments are made for TV, venue availability and the FIBA window also play into it.

  • I have idea how nbl clubs pay their players.

    It doesn’t make sense.

Tiny arenas, they give away tickets to ‘influencers’ every game and people certainly don’t buy their merchandise.

You really have 0 idea then. The Kings regularly sell top end of Qudos capacity, I've got 3-4 Kings jerseys and a vast majority at every game is wearing one.

100% agree. NBL has turned around in the last 10yrs. Small stadiums compared to AFL, but tickets regularly sell around 85-95% capacity (ranges between 7,000-12,000 seat venues).
The atmosphere is awesome - very family friendly and players (when you meet them) are inspirational (i.e. real people) for young kids to meet. Gives them encouragement.

We spend heaps ($3-4k) each year on NBL seats, merch etc, plus local venues for meals and the like before and after matches (we travel 2.5-3hrs for games normally).

NBL is up and away - only building momentum now!!

  • Maaaaan, the one night I can't go :(

  • Gosh still remember when Josh Childress was on the team. The hype was huge but he was just a mediocre player with crap attitude.

  • OOS. cant get 2 tickets :(

  • +1

Seems OOS for me as well, been trying for 1 ticket for about 10 minutes now :(

  • Hey op seems sold out, any way to still get some?

  • Not working for me either :(

  • +1

Shows available but cant book even 1

    • Got the last one i think - needed more

  • can't book any

  • anyone booked one let us know.

  • How does the NBL make money? Look at the basketball court, it is entirely covered in advertising.

    • The primary focus of the NBL is for viewers to look at the ads.

  • What channel is this on?

    • just go to the game, its free anyways

      • The stream I'm watching has no commentary lol.

        • +1

lol, it makes it more fun to do your own commentary. the real commentators don't know what they are talking about anyways.
