This years x90 series is fantastic in design. Metal borders and feat unlike 2021 and 2022 models

$1650 for "box damaged" 65 inch on the Sony ebay store.

      Is box damaged trustworthy?

      • Hit/miss. There's been some nightmares reported from people with damaged TV's and lengthy returns.

      • I got the 55” for $1200, didn’t even noticed where the damaged part of the box is. No issues so far.
The only issue I had was wrong tracking provided so had to follow up and took 2 weeks to be delivered.

It's a marketing term so that Sony can undercut other retailers without upsetting them.

  • Was waiting for someone to post this. Might grab the Sony 75" X90L for $2396 as it was actually JACKED to $3995 a few weeks ago.

I got the sony x95k 75" for $2600 delivered (Sony store deal). I would think the x95 miniled is definitely more than $200 better, would wait for $2200 or less on 75" x90L if you want a perfect deal

    • Tossing between Sony site x95k for 2849 (2999 - 5% welcome voucher) and this deal. Where did you get $2600?

      • Ahhhh they have butchered the welcome voucher, it was 10% last year, glad I took advantage. I did not know it changed. I would not be pulling trigger on x95k 75" now unless it was $2500 honestly. Sales for 65" OLEDs like the LG c3 and Samsung s95c will start falling under the $2300 mark and I would probably take a mid tier 65" OLED for $2300 over a 75" FALD LED panel like x90L.

Real question should be on all the software stuff first like Sony supporting more high def audio formats (not relevant for casual streaming usage), samsung not supporting Dolby Vision, they all have pros and cons.

  • i got the 75" one awesome so far

  • My cousin has the 85" X90L.

I left his house quite unimpressed. I searched for 4K HDR content in YouTube, Netflix and Disney + but couldn't find image quality that wowed me like an OLED does.

I tried digging into the settings but didn't get too far. I just wasn't sure why it seemed a bit grainy. The image quality and quality did not wow me at all. Lounge seat was probably 3-4m away.

The Disney + was definitely the premium 4k version, Netflix was probably 1080p Netflix.

But YouTube 4k HDR content usually does the trick but the image quality wasn't really there.

Keep in mind his TV had all the stock settings. There must be I was missing in the settings.

    • I found out that most streaming services doesn't even provide 5.1 audio content (not Youtube). I was watching NCIS on Paramount + on Fetch Mighty but it had PCM audio only, but FTA TV has 5.1 audio lol

    75" X90L - $2351 on eBay Good Guys store ($2296 on eBay using FEBSAVE + $55 Delivery)

  • 65" X90L $1744.20 Delivered w/ 5% Welcome Voucher @ Sony Australia
Limited Stock, but they might do Back Orders (as with the 75" X90L)

  • It seems that the new product is about to be released. I wish the X91 would appear on the Australian market.

    • X95L? Hopefully these sales are clearing X90L stock before X95L release.

      • No, it is X91L, which is an X90L + BRAVIA camera & 64GB ROM at a cheaper price but only available online in China. It seems like SONY would not release this module in other areas. At any rate, I am waiting for the following module of X90L.
