YouTube Premium Argentina - Can't Add NAB Visa (Citibank Replacement)

Hey everyone so I am currently on the Argentina family plan YouTube premium subscription at 1,569 ARS.

My payment was being done with Citibank Mastercard (currently next payment is due 15th of March) until they sold out and I was given a NAB VISA card and I can’t add the credit card to the payment.

I’m just wondering if I use a different master card such as Revolut or whatever, will I still get the Argentina cost or will it revert back to Australian cost since I’m adding a new card and do I have to VPN back to Argentina before adding the card?

I prefer staying in Argentina rather than changing countries.

TLDR; Citibank credit card expired, looking for a Mastercard to use before 15th of March to keep YouTube premium subscription.

Thanks!

Update: I just got charged by YT today. Yay!

Changed over from Citibank to Bankwest last September, so far so good.
Also changed credit cards with Bankwest last month, updated details and this months charge was debited.

    • If you remember did you VPN before updating the details or just changed it as is?

      • Changed credit card details (not address) only without VPN

  • There was an issue with VISA on ARG youtube last year. Mastercard works.

  • I'm in the same boat.
tried Revolut virtual card. wouldn't accept.

  • Had the same thing happen to me and just tried with another citi credit card but got the error 'transaction declined. this purchase requires a payment method from your billing country'

  • Want to report that I was in the same situation, NAB didn't work but Bankwest went through.

I was on VPN and I didn't touch the Argentine address on the form.

  • btw I just ended up using VPN to another country and used a different cc and it worked

    • @drilly which payment method did you use at the end with another country?

I just updated the payment with Revolut and now YouTube asked me to provide Argentina credit card:
YouTube Premium memberships based in Argentina require a form of payment issued in Argentina.
To maintain your membership, please update your form of payment to one issued in Argentina

      Thanks

      • That was back in March, I've since been locked out and haven't tried to move countries yet

  • OP: " … the Argentina family plan YouTube premium subscription at 1,569 ARS. …"

    Today:

… Since our price change last year, there has been a sizable change in the exchange rate in Argentina.
To continue delivering great service and features, we’re increasing your price to ARS 3,699.00/month.
We don’t make these decisions lightly, but this update will allow us to continue to improve Premium and support the creators and artists you watch on YouTube
You will see the change reflected on your June 15, 2024 billing date….

    • Just got this too but not a huge deal for me as I use it daily. I use my commonwealth debit card
