GPU Help - RX 7900XT or RTX 4070Ti?

Hi All,

Looking for some guidance for GPU. Budget is about $1100 and trying to decide between 4070Ti or the 7900xt.

I have placed an order for this 4070ti via centrecom (hopefully they honor the $1099) - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/832943

Games Wise - Single or Multi player FPS (CS, COD, MW) + Civ, Far Cry
Happy with at least 1080p

  Both are awesome for 1080p gaming!

  Both kinda suck for 4k gaming!

  Good thing you mentioned what your setup is and what display you want to play on, it makes it so much easier for accurate comment ;)

      7900XT better at pure raster at 1440p than 4070 Ti (~ 5% so might be beneficial on a high frame rate monitor)

  i would go for the RX 7900XT, if you plant to plan not to upgrade for a long time due to having more video memory

  have a look at hardware unboxed video which provides a comparison on RX 7900XT and 4070ti

  I would go for the RX 7900XT because it performs better than 4070ti in those games you have listed.

  Far cry 3
  RX 7900XT - 131 fps
  4070ti - 105fps

  COD
  RX 7900XT - 269fps
  4070ti - 204fps

  with a 4070ti you can undervolt the card if power draw is a deciding factor…

  70% usage on fallout 76 @ Ultra settings 144fps 1440p and only drawing 100watts.

    id say at the same price its the better card
