Local shopping complex has a desintation charger so i get free charges while i shop or workout.

They're no slower than most other small hatches, it's just that most people driving them aren't the red light racer type. Maybe learn some patience instead of expecting other people to rev to redline after every stop.

Tesla doesn’t have a dealer service. You buy from them directly and it a different price based on location. If you go to order it’s very clear on the website what the driveway price is for your location. I do agree about order and delivery although apparently it’s not included on fleet orders though so maybe that’s why…
Order fee (non-refundable) is indeed BS.
What is more BS is their Price after savings* which is actually some arbitrary price they pluck against an ICE. That should be removed.

These older models are better equipped than the new ones. They have USS, gear stalks and indicator stalks and a higher ride height.
The newer models have ventilated seats and a rear screen but I'd rather have the indicator stalks because I'd be using them much more often than a rear screen.
Rear screen can be installed in around 10 minutes on the older version. Plug and play.

to be fair though, this happens in all cars. I bought a brand new Mitsubishi for about $20k less than the launch price due to some heavy discounting by the manufacturer. This decimates used values. But owners who bought at the top often don't realise and get a nasty surprise when they do their research.

As long as you dont go too far because the range is reduced a fair bit. Youll also need to unhook your caravan for a while to re-charge along the way.

Wish the batteries were not so integrated into the construction of the car just a concern 10-20 years from now they might be wrecked instead of keeping on the road due to labour costs of changing the battery over.
If someone can come up with a battery thats considerably smaller that could be changed over on the side of the road if necessary like several 15 kilogram batteries slotted into the side of the ev (like giant d cells).
Regional Australia, Africa, Middle east etc would look more favourable on uptake of evs.
The financial implications for the low to medium in actually having money to buy a ev as well as lack of infrastructure in regional Australia is not really understood or cared about by ev supporters.
12 years ago Model S cost $150k+ with 250-300km range, now for $40k you can get one that does 350-400km range. Mass adaption has started and battery tech will progress by leaps and bounds, the price of EV will also drop even further. 1000km range EVs are starting to be out in China. i would say 1000km EV batteries will be widely available in 5 yrs time.
There really hasn't been any improvement in battery tech so no, that isn't going to happen.

86% of Australians live in urban areas. The average Australian drives just over 13,000km per year, or 250km per week. The distance of the average Australian commute is 17km. 70% of the population lives in detached houses, which would typically permit home charging.
Obviously there are people in rural and remote areas who drive much further, and there are people who have special needs for their vehicles. EVs don't serve those people well at the moment, but they are a small minority.
Tell me again why EVs can't be widely adopted in Australia?

Interesting, but yes, by exception EV may not be suitable - otherwise in most cases it should be fine.
That is a good price if you need the extra range of the LR or really want the indicator stalk. Most people don't need the LR though so the Highland RWD is only slightly more expensive and a significantly better car
