Just doing the math- if I create a second EDR account, then pay the first month subscription ($7pm) on the said account. it will give me:
      - 3,000 EDR points in total ~ $15
      - 2x 10% off Woolies + Big W (the first month trial plus the following paid month) ~ the $ will depend on the shopping amount ofc

      Do I get this right?

      • +1

You'll need another 500pts on the burner account to get anything back.

      • +1

Will they let you have 2 accounts? How about in wife's name?

        • As long as you use new number and new email address

  • +2

I recommend the everyday extra, with the 10% off big w and woolworths plus 2 x points, it pretty well pays for itself.

    • +6

I've noticed since signing up to everyday extra my boosters have become significantly worse. When I'd usually get a spend $50-60 previously for 1-2k points, it's now spend $300 :(

      • I still get those post EE, but not anywhere near as often as I used to

        • +1

Exactly why i opted out of the program.

Im getting about 6000 to 10000 points per month on our family accounts. I rotate around for best offers.

Would you spend $300 for $30 off or $40 for 2000 points (multiple family cards)? You do the maths

          • @easternculture: I did a $223 shop this morning, took 10% off and used the extra value gift card with 2x points offer, so it definitely worked well for me

            • -1

@linkindan: I would have got 10000 points minimum with that shop (not having a subscription) - 1 x 4000 points for $100 spend, 3 x 2000 points for $40 spend) on 4 family accounts. I get these offers weekly so help accumilate points in thousands of dollars every year.

              • @easternculture: So better to cancel the subscription? I also get 10 percent off with Woolworths insurance.

              • @easternculture: How do you have four family accounts? Do you have a separate phone number linked to each account?

      • oh wow good to know.

      • I'm pretty sure they just base those offers off your regular or average spend. Like if you normally spend $150, they'll send you an offer then says spend $200 for X amount of bonus points, to encourage you to spend more.

      Wouldn't recommend from my experience!
Especially if you already receive good Bonus points offers!

Wasn't aware of the negative effect of subscribing on my weekly spend! Through loss of good Bonus offers!!

Regularly received great weekly Boost offers for years (for last year, usual is 2000pt for $40 spend - most weeks had $10 credit towards next week spend)

All those stopped when subscribed to Extra for 2 months. So lost potential 16000 Bonus pts! (Received 4000 pt to subscribe for 1m free & $7 for second month)
Required massive increase in spend (with 10% off once a month) to make up for the loss!!

Good Booster offers started again soon after cancelled.
Others had similar loss of good Boost offers, commented in previous Deals.

Extra wasn't worth paying for less benefit than I already received free! In my case.

      • You do get bonus points on each shop when signed up to everyday extra. Is it less than the booster offers? Also mine is combined with extra 10 percent discount from Woolworths insurance.

        • Yes bonus points with or without Everyday Extra.

But the size of bonus points I & others received after joining Everyday Extra were insignificant compared with those before joining & after leaving Everyday Extra!

The type of Bonus pt offers I was regularly receiving, without Everyday Extra:
          2000pt on $40 shop
          2300pt on $50 shop
          5400pt on $100 shop
          And 2000pt for 1c spend - weekly Sept - Oct 24. (Bought a small piece of fruit - 30c for $10 credit!)

That was up to late 2024…

As I rarely spend more than $50/wk, paying for Everyday Extra to receive 10% off 1 shop/M is not worthwhile. Reorganising to a large shop per month is a pain.
Never bothered with free gifts as not suitable for me

I have no insurance, as it is not something that makes financial sense for me.

Took car insurance with Woolworths when it gave back more than I paid each year (20000pts ($100) to sign up + 10% off extra 12 shops, for $160 policy). But Woolies has declined me car further insurance on my vehicle…

Getting rid of car as moving to travel overseas most of each year.

So I've run the figures for my circumstances.
          It's different for everyone!!

All has changed with EDR now as those larger bonus pt offers have disappeared in '25😖

          Now just 10x offers etc.

Now using up accumulated hundreds of Rewards Dollars when occasionally shopping at Woolworths.

Moved to shopping Flybuys 4 week offers for $50 credit at Coles.

          • @INFIDEL: Since those bonus offers have disappeared in 2025 should I just stick with Everyday Extra? Our weekly spend is $300 per week.

            • @BluebirdV: Its hard enough to figure my own calculations.
              Good luck 👍

I've not received a SINGLE weekly points on spend offer from woolies since signing up to EE! in November…

My partners NON EE account has had about 4 in a row this year alone/

its a bloody joke, as woolies obviously knows the household address is the same..

they are trying to get me/us to spend on my NON EE account where there's no x2 pts or 10% off

      • +5

No, they're trying to get the person who didn't already sign up a subscription plan, and is therefore less likely to be spending money there regularly, to keep coming back.

There's not an employee sat there reading through all the sign-ups, trying to work out who is related to who so that they can devise a scheme to restrict the number of Everyday Extra points you're getting…

Having the same household address doesn't automatically mean you are one entity who makes grocery shopping choices together. Over a million people live in share houses - many of them will be shopping individually. I don't think it makes much sense for the system to assume anyone living together is related.

      • They've never given me any points for minimum spend offers in the years I've had Everyday Rewards. Pretty silly since I shop at Coles largely because they regularly give me offers like this.

    1500 points, hardly worth it

I signed up with the 30 day trial, they charge 1 cent. No bonus points though until you pay it says.

  • +3

Wait for the Black Friday special. Last one was $35 / y ($2.92 / month). For us, that is when we feel it is worthwhile. Having 1 account for every house hold member (some have extra and some just have mobile) gets good outcomes … the accounts 'cool down' and the offers rise. Same process for flybuys in letting them 'cool down'.

The Big W discount pays for itself quickly.

  • Yay! $7.50! Why are there not a thousand upvoted?

  • Where do I find my referral link?

Edit: ok it's sort of obvious,it's in the extras section of the app.

  • +1

I signed up to EE end of last year for half price in a deal. Boosts and bonuses dropped off like everyone else has mentioned.
Cancelled the auto renewal last month as an Australia Day protest. Yearly subscription still active until end of this year as you can't get a refund.
Boost and bonuses started flooding in.

I should note I've also stopped shopping there so could also be related to a lack of activity on my account.

    $0.50 profit (for an individual)???

If you cracked the Easter egg this week, you might get the offer to collect 3000 bonus points if signing up for Everyday Extra before 31st March, so 4500 points in total for $7.

    • I got a bonus cubeez

      • where abouts is this easter egg in the app?

        • Email

  • I signed up for an everyday extra account in my son's name. Get almost no boosters, and have never had a free item.

      @Grandslam

      Thanks for the info
Exactly why I'm am a bit sceptical of the paid reward schemes.

At least with free ones if you can't be bothered boosting etc, no great loss.
