  • A shame they don't have better roaming prices, but if you don't intend to use it OS, a great deal :)

  • Was interested until I read Uses Vodafone 4G network
Great deal if reception in your area is good

FYI, It seems like Vodafone Sim cards are no longer working in lot of older phones since they switched off 3G. Data and SMS work but voice calls can not be connected. So do check your compatibility before buying.

    • Only if you have a 3G only phone, which is very few people nowadays.
This has not impacted the 4G network negatively, ie, they haven't switched off any components of 4G, if anything, the opposite as they can re-farm some of the spectrum.
3G is also being decommissioned on the other 2 networks this year (June and September).

    • Phone has to support VoLTE to work on Voda now (and soon for the other networks). Previously a non-VoLTE 4G phone would fall back to the 3G network for voice calls. No 3G network means no voice calls.

Check that your phone has 4G VoLTE capability. Many imports didn't have VoLTE configured. I just recently migrated some Telstra users to newer phones to avoid this issue when Telstra shuts down 3G

It's worth noting that Kogan Mobile have a 500GB yearly plan that frequently goes on sale for $180-200.

Same network, you get 5 days extra of calls + texts, but you give up any data carryover if you opt for the "40GB per 30 days" option instead of the "all 500GB at once" one.

If you don't need a new phone plan right now, I'd wait for the next Kogan Mobile sale instead.
