Air Fryer with Stainless Steel Basket

Is there an Air Fryer with Stainless Steel Basket?

I've seen the Air Fryers that look like a mini oven with a SS tray, but not a basket.

Reason is I've gone through my second air fryer as the non-stick coating doesn't look great anymore even though we don't use metal utensils on them. Still using it but lining it with baking paper but unfortunately the fat doesn't drain like a basket.

Alternatively, how are the non-stick baskets on premium air fryers like Philips?

Admittedly, I bought my first one, a cheapie from Woolies just to try it out and I found it very useful. My second and current one was gifted to me (a re-gift), it's a Kogan.

Our Philips basket went bad after a year or two. I still just throw it in the dishwasher but the nonstick sides is likely not cleaning. Airfryer still works fine so just keep using it.

Edit. Should point out, Philips basket is metal mesh on the bottom and it is cleanable, the sides are nonstick and are now permanently black.

Got a Phillips, the basket is the same. Clearly far from non stick! Got crap all stuck to it, it goes in the dish washer, but it certainly looks like crap, but cooks ok!

    • Seems like none of the non-stick lasts..

So the bottom of basket is Stainless Steel? That could work I just don't want my food touching the damaged non-stick coating

  • I was looking for something stainless as well, but I’m also not sure if I should get the basket style or mini oven style as it’s for a relative.

    • I prefer the basket style..

much easier to toss chips in a basket than rotating each chip one by one haha

  • I have the Ninja Foodi Flip as I didnt want to deal with a basket either. Its pretty good, works like an oven/air fryer combo, you can use any regular oven trays in it.

The air fryer capability is not quite as good as a standard air fryer, but pretty good - I am happier with it than the basket style

    • Actually I do like/prefer the basket, but I don't want a non-stick basket.

  • There's this thing on the internet for searching stuff. It's called Google.
I used it for 5 seconds and found this:
    https://www.airfryermarket.com/best-air-fryers-with-stainles…

Albeit USA-centric it should still give some useful information.

    • Thanks mum..

Given that I can't buy them in Australia, it's not very useful to me.

One useful take out from the article you linked was silicone.

I'll investigate if I can find a silicone mat with holes that I can place within my existing air fryer basket.. that would work for me.

  • Seems like there is a silicone mat with holes available that I can place within my existing air fryer basket.

Win/win. Can throw the silicone mat in the dishwasher and won't need to buy a new air fryer.

I use a silicone tray in my AF, it doesn't drain fat either obviously but if you then put a stainless steel rack inside the tray, you get the best of both worlds - no mess (all goes in the tray, which is easy to clean) and the stainless rack to drain fat.

buffalo air fryer is what you want. Its more an 'asian community' centric brand so not big among the masses
