Yeah I was interested until I saw the billboard sized logo which makes it look tacky IMO.
What's the deal with this brand other than a ex politician promoting it?
because it pairs well with other articles of eshay clothing
In some countries such as South Korea it is seen as a status symbol clothing brand. Similar to how Nike was and still has been for decades.
Wearers become free advertising billboards for the label.
As such the size of the logo on the clothes and pivot and stronger emphasis to the casual wear market several years ago has made North Face more of a fashion statement.
Many of the other competitor brands have been struggling or sold to others over the last few decades ie Raichle bought by Mammut, Mountain Hardwear under Columbia Sportswear.
Australia misses out on a lot of the wider product line sold overseas especially the less casual gear and clothing line items. The casual clothing line is alright but may have less value at full price.
Used to signify actual mountain climbers (the North face is the prime ascent for Mt Everest).
Then they realised they can just sell crap to soccer mums and junkies who have no idea what the brand stood for, roughly equivalent to Nike, Canada goose etc.
Oof, careful, some of the sizes/styles bump the price up to over $300! A grey XXL men's one ended up showing up as $308!

Very, very limited sizes, colours at that price - and yeah look kinda silly anyway to be honest.

Usually companies pay for advertising. Seems like lots of people paying Northface to advertise on them.
Unless tgese hoodies are really good hoodies in terms of thermal performance. Your being robbed and your helping them rob you.
