PNY GeForce RTX 4080 Super VERTO Graphics Card $1699 Delivered @ Allneeds

200

Absolute cheapest of the 4080 super cards right now. Cheapest I could find it elsewhere was 1799.

Free delivery makes this a pretty good deal if you’re looking to BYO system as opposed to the builds available on ozb.

The builds do still offer better value.

  • Store in title please. Thanks.

    • Thanks! Added

  • Can vouch for the store. Purchased few computer parts. The payment method was pay by bank transfer so hesitant at first but seller checks out. For those wondering.

    • That’s good to know! Didn’t know the store myself.

  • nice first post!

    • Thank you 🙏

  • +5

Give it another 4 weeks it will drop another $100, no one is buying this card.

    • Yeah fingers crossed!

  • +8

The supers look pretty unimpressive performance wise, isn't the $1500 4080 better value

    • +3

The 1499 deal expired on the 4080, now it’s back to 1599.

But you’re right, it’s still a better deal though $/performance since the super only adds 3% tops.

Posted it for those who wanted the latest at the absolute lowest current price.

      • plus this sellers requirment on bank transfer is sus as hell.

rather get a 4080 from scorptech witha shopfront

        • +2

Allneeds is about as legit as they come. Storefront is on King William St in Adelaide city which is the main street through the center of Adelaide CBD. They have been there for decades and was the main point of call when I was doing support in the city way back.

  • +2

nooooo, $200 for almost same performance.

No one in their right mind should be rewarding Nvidia or their retailers with their money for pricing a new product 20% more for up to a mere 3% performance gain. This is price gauging and not a bargain.

    • +3

Ahh, they dropped the RRP by over 20%… Yes there were a few "run out" sales of the old model for cheaper, that's always going to happen though, nothing they can do about retailers wanting to get rid of old stock, as this is replacing the 4080.

    • Yeah it’s all around bum deal for 80 series you’d have thought nvidia would have dominated the market by taking a hit and undercutting amd

But 999usd is Mario so 1530ish aud ex taxes so it’s kinda the benchmark for a car price wise now at that level considering the super is just replacing the non super it’s all the same..

Like you’d be a bit silly to get non super more than super price wise

I think once dust settles the 1500 mark will be the go to price but that to me is it’s rrp so will be waiting for 1400 or below deals that I can only hope will follow..

Also odd partner cards going way more than founders msrp too used to be the other way around

  • Just thought I'd chime in on the brand.. I have a 4070 TI but had never heard of PNY before, had it almost a year now and no problems.

    • They're all much of a muchness especially when they all have 3 year warranties standard

  • +5

    HODL for $1399.

    • -1

Would like to see this, but reckon it’s pretty unlikely in the next 8 or so months… until 50 series is imminent/here

  • Managed to get the standard 4080 (from PNY) for $1599 since I've learned the Super variant wasn't that much better and the price was close to what the 4070ti Super is offering right now. (Mind you, I've been with the 1080ti for over 7 years now, so I'm good with upgrading to this series, even if it's not the best for most who are coming from the previous gen.)

    • +1

What CPU are you running? The jump from 1080ti to 4080 with similar CPU might throttle your GPU hard.

      • +1

I had to upgrade my CPU since my motherboard died, so I'm now using a i7-12700kf.

  • +1

Umart has the galax 4080 for $1599
    Not sure how it compares.

    • +1

Just noticed this was a super , my bad

  • -2

Wait for ASUS 4080Super Noctua to arrive (https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/graphics-cards/…)

    • +4

These are always expensive. The 4080 version was $2300

  • Unfortunately there'll be people looking at price drops like that's a bargain and flock out to buy them at the slightest discounts. IMO the 4080s needs to come down more, and the 4080 needs to be at about 1400 area to be considered.

    • +2

Vanilla stock will be gone I reckon with $1500 sales, except for the odd limited stock one off sale. Unless still stock towards mid-late year!

Though yeh I do reckon the S will get down to 1500-1600 for eofy and nearer to 50 series launch

      • Well thankfully so far the $1500 4080 sales have been the less popular PNY variants… or Galax and what not. There are still a bunch of MSI/ASUS/ZOTAC etc, but they're more like 16xx or 17xx even. Hopefully there's a small window where there's some of those left and the price goes to about $1500 before all the 4080 clear out. One can only hope!

        • With ya there brutha… I’m close to folding on a MSI at 1600 but must hold!

    • im hodl till crypto crunch and ai apocalypse

      • -1

it ain’t happening us tech is unstoppable might as well start worshipping your future overlords right now

  • seems to be $1,745.00 now

    • That didn’t last very long! Thanks for the update!

  • +4

4080s were $1500 in June 2023 and you got free diablo 4 .
Paying anything over when new gen is around the corner is meh

    • I'll consider at around $1400 for the non super variant.

      • +1

s or no s its the same shit

        • It is, but the non S version will be cheaper regardless.

          • @Tbargain12: Non s is no longer made , when they sell out that's it

            • +1

@botchie: Ya I'm aware of that, so I'm saying hoping they'll do one last price drop on the remaining stock before they sell out

  • +1

Is this what Nvidia calls a price drop

  • Very close to wholesale price, very close.

    • You got inside info?

      • +2

Yeah. Inno3D is $1693. Gigabyte is $80 more. Quite a few 4080 still in stock, but mostly ASUS which is above $2000.
In other words - there will be no 4080 super for $1500 retail in the foreseeable future.

        • cheers, appreciate the intel! So yeah unless a nvidia-directed cut (of course not gunna happen until 50 series, or perhaps black friday), or a super desperate retailer, it'll stay north of 1700. gotta get me a vanilla then ;-)

        • Can you share any intel on the vanilla wholesale price/s and/or a range at all please? Knowing that we've seen 1499 last year (Gigabyte eagle) and recently (PNY).. so assuming without a broad recent cut this is gotta be pretty close too…..

          • @gazer: Don't have access to all wholesalers, but $1700-1800 is what retailers are buying 4080 super for. Maybe less depending on quantities, bundle specials and individual agreements. Most stock of the first batch of 4080 S is sold out. Next will land towards the end of Feb.

Cannot see much of end user enthusiasm for buying 4080 S. Umart, for instance, sold only one Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4080 Super from their eBay store in 5 days. And $1799 is probably the cheapest new Gigabyte on the market.

            • @vovka: cool, thanks again. yeh, I think most who're interested at this level are looking for a cheap vanilla on clear out (that's me, hence my question about non-super variety wholesale prices), saving some $ on an XTX, or otherwise waiting til EOFY/BF or 50 series….

                • @vovka: oh I meant jumping ship to the AMD 7900 XTX

  • +1

    5% performance increase, XXXX NVIDIA

  • +2

Yeah I feel better about my 4080 for $1499 compared to this.

  • -1

I have an old Asus b150 motherboard, i5 CPU (6500 I think) with 16gb ram, 850w psu and a 1080ti and nvme ssd.

If I get this, do I need to upgrade the mob and CPU?

  • +1

Nvida is trying to profiteer as much as they can with so many variants. The xx80 variants is the past were around $1300 and that's what the 4080 should go for.

Plus they should give you a free fire extinguisher just in case the GPU starts a house fire with their bulls*it proprietary connectors

    • +4

People have been conditioned by the extortionist pricing and still buying fervently

It's a ridiculous world we live in when this is considered a bargain. Costs more than the rest of the damn computer

      • You just buy a cheapie for general computing and a game console for gaming. It'll still be cheaper overall

        • You somewhat pay it back on consoles by paying for online subs etc. where that's all free on PC. Probably not to the same extent. But I realised I won't play online multis in the future on PS plus as me and mates all agreed to buy on pc

          • @maverickjohn: I can subscribe to Microsoft Xbox core subscription for 10 years, and it practically pay for the 4080. Furthermore, PC freebies are not selective and you may get some decent older games from Epic etc

  • This deal is still active
