Thanks OP, grabbed one. Not sure why? But at this price even a Nana Maouskiri record would be worth it these days.

    Thank you (next)

Cheaper than the cheapest sealed full length LP on the discount rack. Ordered. If it shows up, cool, if not, cool.

    Thank you!
This is such a steal if it gets fulfilled!

    Thank you! Here's hoping.

Don't think it'll ever get played but I'll add it to the collection!

  • Maybe not a price error, good tactic to sell physical copies even at a loss to hit the Billboard. Artists are known to buy thousands of copies of their own CDs to help boost their music on the charts.

Ariana and UMG gonna have amazon accounts by the hundreds since it's limited to 2 vinyls per account then.

      • I meant if they buy their own CDs technically losing money I wouldn't put it past them to do something like this as a sales technique, streaming farms is another huge one, using bots to increase plays on streaming services. Another huge one is bundling CDs with a shirt where the CD is basically free with the shirt.

since it's limited to 2 vinyls per account then.

That limit has been removed now.

Australian sales don’t hit Billboard, that’s an American chart. Australian sales hit the Aria charts

They will absolutely be making a good profit at $27. The usual $60-$90 prices for vinyl are the gouging of the market.

Vinyl records are cheap to make.
Even if you wanted a custom pressing of a run as little as 100 records, with full artwork and including all the metal pressing for the plates, everything required to hand you those 100 records, it would cost $8.50 per each from the vinylpressing.com.au. If you went up to a 1000, it would be $6.50.

These figures are from Impress Vinyl, a custom plant for indie or unsigned bands based in Australia. Universal Music with an artist like Ariande Grande will be pressing tens of thousands at industry plants at a much, much lower rate. It'd be a few dollars, at most.

$27 is what should be the regular price, but yeah, in context this is a huge bargain. Which I have bought lol.
