A comp that's actually interesting and exciting to complete! I'm in.

Thanks Phalaxis. If you created a part list yesterday, it might be worth checking if your total is still under $3k. I checked my list today and the GPU price had shot through the roof since yesterday.

I know it says "if no pricing is available", but still the post does state this towards the end of the text: "Please assume the MSRP price of $1000 for the RTX 4080 SUPER when building your list if no pricing information is available."

For mine I set my card price manually to its MSRP in USD, and a fair few folks appeared to be doing the same after discussions with NVIDIA reps.

      • Thanks. Yeah I saw that, but didn't really understand why, as there were quite a few cards with prices. Maybe as the card has just been released the suppliers are just throwing out high prices to see who will bite. Mine is now under $3k after the price rise, so will leave it as it is.

My comment had been phantom deleted like in one of the pinned posts… I ended up using a different reddit account to enter. Could still see my comment in my user profile on there, but clicking it resulted in an error.

@JownehFixIT: Just noticed this at the top. Clicking on my post in my profile just takes me to the OP, so I might need to do this also.

We've had a handful of users report an issue where their comments are displaying on their user profile but are not displaying in the comments of this post.

We've confirmed with Reddit Admins that this is a sporadic Reddit site-wide issue, however we haven't been given an ETA on a fix.

If you notice that this is impacting you, the recommendation we've received is to delete your comment, then re-submit it, and it should go through.

Additionally, we would highly recommend reaching out to Reddit Admins via https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/p/redditor_help_cent…

@shaneb: And now the comp is closed. I think my replacement comment went in just before it was locked.

@shaneb: I hope so! Mine said "That comment is missing" and that was that. I could click "View all comments" but that just took me to the post.
