Everytime I share a portable monitor deal someone always asks where the touchscreen monitor deals are finally I have one. This one is particularly good as it uses a full sized HDMI port instead of the usual Mini HDMI and has an inbuilt stand.

Featuring a 16" touchscreen IPS display with 1920x1200 resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, 60Hz refresh rate, HDR, 300cd/m² brightness, 100% sRGB/DCI-P3 colour gamut, 1200:1 contrast ratio, 3ms response time, 75mm VESA support, 178° wide viewing angle and dual speakers.

There's two USB-C ports for display/power and power input, PD passthrough charging, HDMI and a headphone jack. A HDMI to HDMI cable, USB-C to USB-C and tweo USB-A to USB-C cables are included.

  • how do you pronounce the brand?

    • I keep going herg-fer-tree in my head.

    • hug-fir-tree

  • For touch function with a PC, I assume you need a Thunderbolt port?

    • Not at all. USB-A to USB-C will do that perfectly fine.

      • So, are you saying a single usb-a to usb-c would carry power, video, and touch input??

        • +1

No. You can either use USB-C (if you have USB-C DP Alt Mode) or HDMI for video and either C to C or A to C for the touchscreen.

          • @Clear: Thanks! This will supplement two existing non-touch larger monitors. One review claimed that touch doesn't work if you have a combination of touch and non-touch monitors.
Don't really need touch in my case. @Clear thoughts on this listing in comparison https://vi.aliexpress.com/i/1005006083367290.html?gatewayAda…

            • @Sparky: For a non-touch that's a good one due to the 500cd/m² brightness. Most typically have 300cd/m² brightness.

  • It should be a crime to use Mini HDMI on anything but a camera

    • Mini HDMI on raspberry pi is also a pain. Never have the adapter on you.

      • I don't believe this monitor has a full sized HDMI port.

        • Then I suppose you could use a mini HDMI to mini HDMI cable to connect a pi to it.

  • I work some days from home and have a laptop. How do i hook this up to the laptop?

    • Depending on the laptop, HDMI.

  • Would touch be compatible with Samsung dex?

    • Yes

  • Will touch work if I plug in a Chromecast with Google TV?

    • +1

      Also curious 🤨

      • -2

        I don't see why it wouldn't - it's just a monitor - the touch wouldn't work though

  • Does this work on the Motorola G54 phone?

    • Don't think so as G54/84 doesn't support video output via USB-C (hardware limitation).

      • OK thanks. Disappointing.

        • Usually only the higher end phones will have the wired output. like some the Edge series for Motorola or S series for Samsung.

  • I'm just lucky but got AU$151.21 with mastercard.

    • Including GST?

      • yes, total including GST

  • Weight is not mentioned. I regret buying a Blitzwolf product 2 years ago, which weighed 2 times my laptop for a similar size to this one.

  • Best bang for buck, >15", non-touchscreen, best pixel density (I.e. ~15" wld be 1400p IMHO, higher if bigger) recommendation?

  • I'm still wary of these without seeing it in person; If its anything similar to this https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0CDNR4LYP - I'd avoid it. Poor colour reproduction despite 99-100% sRGB, and brightness isn't that great. Touch controls via USB C on mobiles work such as Samsung Dex, however if used with computers/laptop as Touch + extra monitor, you'll need to use both HDMI + USB.

  • Received mine, delivery time seemed very quick, no complaints. The monitor works well with my laptop. Screen brightness is good, only initial impressions but seems like a good value for money external monitor. Cheers

  • Just got it. First impressions are great.
Plugged it into Moto Edge 30 Pro - instant tablet!

  • BTW, it's HGFRTEE

It also has no model name or number that I can see.
It has an "SKU" of 757202450260 but that doesn't seem to exist on the Internet…

  • Those who received, did it come with the screen protection film. I had a corner sticker to remove (what appears to be a protection film) but nothing can be peeled - that sticker came off the screen.

    • Mine did. And same thing happened to me. I ended up pinching and peeling the thick film, and part of the plastic frame came loose. Did feel odd, so unsure if it's meant to be taken off. But then I wonder why would they provide the corner sticker. Touch still works and has a matte look now.

      • I removed the the thick film too without incident. Very happy so far. Cheers

      • Did you pull the plastic layer that covers the whole display and runs under the frame off?

I started, but got concerned as it still seemed to be covered by the whole frame. Now I'm left with air bubbles and bleed from a pinched backlight in the bottom right corner :(

There's also an upside down "KG" written in printed dots in the lower left??

        • Yes, I removed the whole layer and am left with a clear matte screen. It looks great and feels fine to touch. Cheers

  • Is it just mine or the audio is basically not working?
