        • As stumo said above, it's primarily the amperage (current) boost which provides the power, from the equation P=E*I (power, voltage, amperage) which you obviously know. The voltage remains the same.

Some Ozito batteries can be switched to higher Ah eg 4-6Ah or 5 to 8Ah, which is their way of upping the amps delivered. Of course the more amps/power you use the shorter the runtime.

  • Thank you OP, got one

  • Got one many thanks

Both links to Bunnings site are dead now? Also no stock in QLD…at all!

Dropped my drill in the back yard yesterday with a 2.0Ah attached. Battery flew off and disappeared into the 4th dimension. Still haven't found it yet.

    • +1

Now I'm very curious as to the size of your backyard

      • Glitch in the matrix! It's 1.2m from the back patio to the fence where I was working and the area is filled with hard wood chip mulch. Was installing an exterior blind on the patio beam. Drill fell off a 1.7m tall A-frame ladder when I was repositioning said ladder. Watched the drill fall off onto the mulch between concrete patio floor and fence.

Walked over to pickup drill from mulched area - battery missing. Still haven't found it. Couldn't have bounced under the fence as there's a big sleeper under it too, no gaps.

I finally found my 2ah battery on the weekend! Was somehow buried under a bunch of leaf litter. Been through a few rain storms too and still charges/works perfectly find LOL

    • Plenty of stock of the 3pack at Virginia store

  • damn, wouldn't have minded a 3 pack.

FYI your title still says "limited stores"

    Great deal - thanks OP

    • Thanks, they changed it again, combining two posts and added that back in. Will change my description.

      • Nah if you flick through the revisions its always been there.

        • +1

Ah, I obviously missed it. Probably because I originally had it at the beginning of the post and didn't read the revision properly, having a senior moment, lol.

@revheadgl: Hah! Don't worry - just letting you know the mods aren't out to get you

            yet

  • Would not let me order for delivery!

    • Finally took my One Pass delivery order, now to see if it gets cancelled.

  • +1

Don't really need. Bought. LAST TIME!

  • +2

Thanks OP! Bought the one with the charger. Tired of stopping mid lawn mowing cause my battery ran out.

Not many OzBargainers in my Suburb… Still 44 available… I will buy some more & make it 43… Cheers

Still a few hours left in the day

  • Here is something that you can use the batteries for a bit $$ but never the less a great example of Ozito power.

That genuinely looks like something that'll burn the house down

    • If you have a 3D Printer you can make your own for a fraction of the price.
I've made a few myself to run random car accessories off of Ozito batteries.

A decent 13.8V DC-DC converter (with higher output) on aliexpress is <$50

  • have a 2 pack for $69 sitting at home doing nothing and no devices to use on

not sure if I should return it

    • Just keep it. Things aren't getting any cheaper.

      • Hmmm maybe I'll get a lawn mower

  • What's a good Ozito device to cut shrubs?

  • Was about to jump on the Ryobi set of products. How does Ozito compare?

    • +1

I currently have Makita, Ryobi and Ozito. Happy with all of them.

As to whether Ryobi is better than Ozito? Probably. The Ryobi tools I have do feel a level up in the hand. But Ryobi is more expensive. Especially here in Australia when compared to USA prices.

Ozito is definitely aimed at the DIYer and the tools are well priced, and in my experience, well made and reliable. They also have a solid warranty.

If its either Ryobi or Ozito you decide to bu,y have the tools you want and may need in the future, is within your budget, you can be pretty confident that they will do the job adequately.

      • +1

Thanks @revheadgl, thought I'd check out some of the tools I might get and you're right, there's quite a difference in some of them between the 2 brands.

Think I will just jump on the Ozito ecosystem! Thanks.

        • +1

Happy to help. One thing I forgot to mention is that there are reasonably frequent deals like these on Ozito tools and batteries where as you don't see anywhere near as many deals on Ryobi.

          Enjoy your new tools!

      • I prefer Ryobi and Ozito…

  • Staff only started unpacking them at Alexandria around 4pm, so should be plenty left

  • still have an unopened 2 pack

wouldnt mind bigger batteries though for more grunt in a mower, 4ah is a bit meh when you have let it go too long lol

  • Error 404
    Sorry, page not found!

  • A girl at Bunnings told me these Ozito batteries also come in a 6.0Ah but I haven't seen any stock

  • Has anyone owned these for longer than 3 years and still going strong? Do these stay good for decades under storage (inside the house) or do i need to top them up and use them every now and then? They came in the box at 33% (1 bar) so Im going to top them up to 70% and store them away.

I have tools but I find myself done with the job with just two batteries, but i own 4.
Im thinking of just using 2 batteries until they die then start using the other 2, or should i just cycle between all 4 of them? I have 4 of these batteries all manufactured same years, would be a massive shame if 2 of them died and the ones i kept in storage for years just didnt work cos I was meant to do something to them during storage or use them every so often to keep them functional etc..

    • +1

You should rotate all 4. I have owned these for 5 years and they are still going strong. I had stored a couple away for 2 years but they worked fine when I tried them. They had kept their charge for those 2 years.

      • Thanks for the helpful reply Skid, I’ll do just that. I’ll keep them topped up and charged at 2-3 bars to max their life.

        • +1

should rotate them as the warranty will expire sitting on the shelf

          • @firefly2k3: good point, may buy into more tools within the ecosystem anyway so may as well have a lot of spares ready to go, also can be adapted if required

  • Thanks OP. Got the 2 pack with multi charger today from Bunnings Blacktown (NSW). Apparently these don't go "on sale" until Monday, so there was none on display in store. I ordered online for click and collect and got a call 10 minutes later saying it won't be available until Monday. A little later I went to Bunnings to pick-up something else and just happened to ask about the battery pack. Staff checked stock, said they had 48 available and was happy to process my order on the spot.

  • Got to get me some Ozitos!

  • -1

Not sure if this is possible, have Ozito line trimmer and blower/vac but both are wired…is there anyway to have these run on batteries on this deal…some attachment or something perhaps….

    • No, not without an inverter of some type. And that would mean it would still have to be plugged in to a 240v source. It would be far easier and cheaper to just by the Ozito cordless tools.

      • thanks for that.

        • No problem. And for the record, I didnt neg you.

          • +2

@revheadgl: Lol. All good. I remember this saying "One who asks stupid question seems stupid for 5 mins, the one who doesn't remains for entire life"

            • @s0805: Haha, I have similar one we used to say from my time in the motorcycle industry, which is " The only stupid question is the one you don't ask".

  • Will it fit my SKIL PWRCORE 20V 300mm Line Trimmer.

    • Probably not without an adaptor.

  • +1

is 99 for 3 the normal price?

    • +2

No, it's a promotional deal that comes up a couple times a year.

  • +1

OOS? Showing in stock online, but when attempting to check out with delivery, its sookin' that local store is OOS and wants me to change store. Weird.

    • Yes happened to me too. Shows stock online for certain stores, but then becomes out of stock on checkout. Just had to select different stores (around Brisbane). Have one on order now….will go pick it up when ready. Great deal. Don't need 3 batteries, but its cheap!

  • +1

Now showing stock for a lot more WA stores

    • Thanks, I have changed the listing to reflect that.

  • Curious about the battery type inside the Ozito battery. Has anyone opened it up before?

  • Hi all. Been eyeing off a couple of products from Ozito for a while. What does the battery pack and 2 batteries usually retail for?

  • Good price. The ozito batteries outlast the tools
