  • Shame it's Origin. Would get it if it was on Steam.

Shame there is no such thing as Mass Effect 3 on Steam.

  • They have been slowly adding to their email code store over the last few weeks…FIFA 13 for $31 and Sleeping Dogs for $20 are decent too, especially for those with gift voucher codes:

  • Worth having a look at this thread -

There's always two sides to these kinds of disputes, keeping an open mind I would like to hear theirs.

    • From what I've experienced, their game codes are fine. I've bought three(two for Steam, one for Origin) and didn't have any issues.

      • Out of interest, how long did they take to email the codes to you?

It's not particularly comforting that it isn't automated - human error is far more likely, and from what it looks like from that thread foobar posted, they won't be taking responsibility.

        • It took 6.5 hours to get mine.

Ahh Mass Effect 3. I purchased in March this year during the HN sale. Never got it. Even after repeated communications with them. Scum stole $41 from me. :(

Maybe I'll finally get to play ME3.

    • Credit card chargeback?

      • Paid via Paypal. After numerous to-and-fro with their customer service (in addition to the initial 3 week "out-of-stock" delay), it went well past the Paypal 45 day period. :(

Paypal's buyer protection doesn't cover cd keys anyway, at least that's what they told me when I made a claim against a dodgy cd key site. Since then I always pay by credit card, most banks will go to bat for you with stuff like that.

        • Wasn't a CD though. It was the Harvey Norman retail box set. :(

I think I'm going to raise it with fair trade.

  • Pffft, not worth $18. Also there is no Steam version, so it's Origin or nothing folks.

    • Pffft, not worth $18

And that's your opinion; believe it or not, others might actually think ME3 was a good game - myself included.

      • You're as welcome to your opinion as I am to mine - are you saying I'm not allowed to express a subjective opinion? Thanks for the neg too.

        • There was nowhere in my post that indicated that I thought you weren't entitled to your opinion, all I'm saying is, don't be so quick to dismiss the deal, because others might actually like the game. If you had've phrased your comment differently, there wouldn't be a problem.

And that wasn't me who gave you the neg, BTW.

    • Not sure about most people, but I sure as hell would not trust one of those sites.

From the "About Us" section of cdkeyprices:

All of the stores we follow are either personally verified by our staff (we are gamers too!) or by members such as yourself when leaving reviews.

Feel free not to trust them, that's your prerogative. I've never had a problem with a site listed on cdkeyprices though.

        • Feel free not to trust them, that's your prerogative.

True, I never asserted otherwise :-)
I prefer the well-beaten path, judging by some bad experiences from others (though I suppose the bad experiences are always the most vocal).
          shrug

        • Keep in mind OzGameShop is doing the exact same thing as other CD Key sales places here. Buying keys in one country, selling them in another.

If you're worried about the possibility of account closure for that reason then going through OzGameShop isn't going to protect you.

        • Keep in mind OzGameShop is doing the exact same thing as other CD Key sales places here. Buying keys in one country, selling them in another.

I'm aware of that. It's more to do with reliability - I and many others I know have dealt with OzGameShop and found them to be generally reliable; not so with these CD key websites. I haven't used them, nor has anyone I know, so I can't judge them on reliability and I don't trust them. It's just personal preference.
