Other libraries that has Haynes manuals:

As @rickb, @Widget @sud has pointed out, quite a few libraries that has Haynes access plan as well.
NSW:
Hawkesbury, Lithgow, Sutherland, Liverpool, Queanbeyan, Kempsey - Port Macquarie.
VIC:
Frankston

Only see Lawn mower manual ?

This means you are on their main library site, you need to use the link in the deal which goes to a Haynes plan portal.

Would it have my car model ?

It seems they only give slightly older cars, so if your car is made in the last 5 ish year, they might not have it.

Sign up for Liverpool Library,

no need to live in liverpool, they give you an temporary ID immediately so you can login and get the manual.

I bought a ford focus shitbox recently for $1.5k and was wanting to do some maintenance / repairs myself. YouTube is great but there are quite a few variants of the car, also there are US and UK versions which are slightly different to mine, having a manual for the exact car is a lot easier than sieving through 10 vids for your exact model.

The catalog looks to be somewhat extensive.

Thank you Liverpool city library and people who are paying the rates.
Saved me $60 on buying the manual.

  • Damn. They have <2013 of the car I want, but not after - even though Haynes have the book in print (2015 on).

  • Got an email this morning that my library card is expiring in a month and that I need to contact them via phone or in person to renew - also my username/password can no longer access haynes website

Oh no, I hope mine don't expire soon.
If you still just need access for this only maybe try using the account MiCCAS provided?

      • Just got an email saying to ignore the expiry email and that my "card" is valid until 2029 and this was a mistake

These aren’t the Haynes manuals but if you’re seeking car repair guides for older vehicles (7+ years old), check out Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone. It’s, free, open sourced repair manuals: https://charm.li/

    Here’s a sample set of guides for a 2008 VW GTI (mk5): https://charm.li/Volkswagen/2008/GTI%20%281K1%29%20L4-2.0L%2…

  • Are there any good ebooks and magazines available?

    • They use BorrowBox and PressReader, so heaps of good books and magazines. They also do free LinkedIn Learning.

  • Thanks for reposting 👍🏽❤️

  • Recently wrecked my dad's 20y/o Ford escape. Found a hard copy of the Hanes manual for it in the tyre compartment along with a 2002 Gregory's map for NSW whilst emptying it.

Weird nostalgia hit me so hard.

  • Could not find manual for Mazda 626 (98-2002) GF Series model information. :(

  • Thanks. I’m considering replacing the bonnet on my FG Falcon and they’ve got the manual. Had some good tips in it too.

  • mmm…just seen this, signed up before I read ANY comments…logged in to my own account; used the search term "Haynes Workshop Manual "
    and got the following return;

Doubt I'll use again, but you never know…

  • Any easy way to download these to have them printed?

  • Garbage……nothing is available and these ebooks nothing like having a real book.

  • I bought Kia Sorento manual from Hayes. Complete waste of money.

    • The book or the car?

      • The book. No specific information for our car, just generic "how to" guides for everything (brake pads, brake fluid change, auto trans service, diff service, oil change, suspension rubber changes, rod end/rack end changes. Useless.

Car has been great, just out of warranty now (7.5yr) and 300k km with great fuel economy. My wife lets the kids leave shit everywhere which I hate but interior always cleans up well. Plenty of roo dints, bar has taken a few big hits.
Only issue is tyre life. We do a small amount of gravel road (probably ~15% of KM) and lucky to get 50k from a set of HTs. Has had a proper front and rear alignment this year so will see if that can improve.

        • That's disappointing, in the old days they used to buy that model of car and pull it to pieces to write the book. I guess there's too many different models now, so they just write generic instructions. Also cars are much longer lasting these days with not nearly as much need for repairs, decades ago a car going 300k without repairs was unheard of.

  • +1

So you can’t download them as a pdf?

  • I think YouTube is more useful

  • Good resource. Can confirm it works.

  • Is this still working?

Tried to login today, can still log into the library site but haynes all access doesn't like my login anymore
