Seems to be $30 cheaper than other aus stores. Someones who's serious about gaming might think it is
it does have bad reviews, people say the keys stick on and take a while to bounce back, I would probably prefer a more quality brand, such as Ducky, Filco, Corsair or Coolermaster.
can you point me to these reviews? thanks.
I'd say mixed reviews. http://www.amazon.com/Razer-Blackwidow-Mechanical-Keyboard-R…
too much hungryjacks coupons
wow.. $99 for a keyboard? must be really good quality.
its mechanical, but I wouldn't trust razer based on reviews.
i have one, and its good, the only problem is the "7" key sometimes gets stuck partly down
common issue with razer keyboards, and horrile cust support goes with their wonky products, thats why ill always buy a more trustworthy brand.
indeed, my next 1 will be a ducky or some other good brand, but i love it, pity i cant use them at work :(
What, coworkers don't appreciate the clack clack clack?
It's a mechanical keyboard like the old school clickity ones.
They general cost between 80 to 150 I heard.
What's the diff between the 2013 edition and the previous model? About the same price…

i dont think the expert is backlit, though im not sure about this 1:P
i got a dragon age ed(i think) for $99 instead of the $199rrp from EBgames when they were dumping them. dont really care about the image on it, dont look at it often
I have a mechanical, Ducky Shine 9008 with Cherry Blacks
Will never buy another rubber dome keyboard again. I am going to buy one for my work, cherry reds this time for typing.
In my opinion do not buy the Razor, quality is poor, rather if you after a mechanical at this price point get a Leopald FC500R from PC Case Gear for $109.
Or spend $150 and get a Ducky
Neg.
The CM Quickfire Rapid is a much better keyboard for less.

Unfortunately, it has black switches. Not exactly to everyone's taste. The blue switch version is a little more than $100 though, which isn't that bad.
Also, a discount is a discount, whether we approve of the product or not.
Why is it a much better keyboard?
Ok, it may not be better, but the BlackWidow is frowned upon from Mechanical Keyboard enthusiats.
Supposedly the letters on the key all eventually wear out.
And of course, Razer. Everything from razer is overpriced and overhyped.
So quickfire doesn't have macro keys but is probably a better build quality. Seems you're basing your neg on an opinion and or preference, not the discount. I'm not a gamer, just saw this on mwave so threw it up for if anyone was after a razer. Did a few quick searches and it's the lowest price I could find.
Opinion or preference yeah, but that's seeing the keyboards key caps wear away. Happened to a few friends.
Is your negative vote really indicating that something is wrong with the deal or the seller. For example these products are prone to failure based on your information- if so then also put your source and where others can verify this. If you cant verify your source, then make the comment but skip the negative vote.

I used it for about 2 months until it just stopped working all of a sudden… I'm going to switch to Das Keyboard. ” Charles Bae | 38 reviewers made a similar statement
I'm sure you can look on many other forums, and lots of people will mention how overpriced Razer are and how unreliable they are.
No macro keys mate…
Anyone recommend a good Mech backlit keyboard that isn't around $150? I have the Noppoo Pro with brown switches but I do most computing at night.
Corsair Vengeance K90. Best keyboard on the market. and its around $150
is this really a bargain..?
