Company policy to return back a product so it could be there is nothing wrong with the product itself. Just a customer's change of mind and the company cannot sell this product as a grade A (brand new) again…
There are just some things I wont buy second hand. Underwear and kids car seats.
I hear you, but I do see the temptation when it comes to capsules. When they say 0 - 6 months (approx), the "approx" means there's a good chance the infant will outgrow the capsule before 6 months
We got a Mico 12 LX which is low birth weight through to 12 months, and we had to upsize at 10 months
That's fair but you have no idea what kind of life this capsule that you're going to put your newborn into has had. It may have been treated very well by the numerous people who hired it, it may have also been flogged/involved in accidents and the company has no idea.
I'd rather pay a couple of hundred more for brand new. Note, that the same capsule is $429 at babyvillage. This hire company have used the most expensive listing when stating a 60% saving. That leads me to my next question, what else have they stretched the truth about?
How do you know these have never been involved in an accident?
Even if they haven’t, the seats have been used by 3-6 babies which is way more than normal.
All really valid questions IMO. Here are a few more:
If it's being operated as a fleet, why are they being sold now?
What's the average number of uses each unit gone through (2-6 month stints per description)?
Is this a compelling price compared to just buying one from FB marketplace where you know only one person has used it (you can see the production timestamp)?
Thanks op - got one!
what did the infant do with this capsule so it needs refurbishment ;)
