Lots of terms that OP hasn't stated that are quite important…

  • Can i use stay plus free night in 5 nights-stay booking?

    • -1

I believe you can. Only way to know is to ask an Accor agent or search for it yourself with the stay plus benefit selected. I find it's pretty limited for use especially during school holidays, especially over the Dec-Jan break.

    • The terms are quite clear. No you cannot.

Too many conditions to make it worthwhile

    • Agree, and if cashback is not tracked a year later, you really have no recourse.

    • +1

TBH most of these conditions (other than the few hotel selections) are quite common to normal cashback eligibility (eg. Use of specific discounts, paid by giftcards etc).

If you book hotel rooms via Accor website you should not be fall into the “not allow” section because the website cannot be paid by giftcard anyway and Accor don’t used to promo discount codes (except for those excluded few hotel brands)
The most common brands in Accor such as Novotel, Ibis and Mercure are all eligible

  • Never calculate the correct amount, I booked hotel around$150, always got one dollar something.

Ye I wouldn't expect them to honour anything. Their price beat guarantee is a proper scam.

      • +1

Absolutely, I’ve got them cold over one at the moment, they agree I’m eligible, however ghosted me after this point, completely ignoring my subsequent attempts for them to actually apply the price beat.

        • I'm surprised you actually even got them to agree to a price beat.

They have so much criteria built into submitting a valid claim. Like Booking
dot com is almost always cheaper but I can't never get it through because of all the details they require in a one page screenshot which is just not possible (they can easily verify the rates on booking.com themselves but their use the screenshot excuse as a deterrent) AND they have more stupid criteria like, submitting a claim within 24 hours of making a booking (don't remember the specifics as it's been a while since I last tried) etc.

IMHO the membership is only good for the free stay plus and 50% at restaurants

          • @0FoxGiven: I am quite surprised when you find booking.com always cheaper than Accor plus rate

I just randomly search for a room in Gold Coast Novotel surfer paradise, with the same room for 2 nights booking.com is $531 while Accor plus is $444

            Screenshots:

I previously have bad experience with booking.com where my room bookings got cancelled without notice (only discovered during checkin), since then I don’t use third party websites much and have been using Accor app for most of the time, never had a miss

          • +1

@0FoxGiven: Yep I got rejected the day before on a refundable booking - there was no date stamp or something like it on the photo, I cancelled and made a new booking to make sure I was within 24 hours, and I pdf printed off my browser and got every little detail into the pdf file that they wanted, I sent an email pointing out how I met each point.
I got them to agree but they never adjusted the price, they just said they’d have to check with the hotel, and then eventually washed their hands of it, and told me to contact the hotel myself, they responded once saying they’d need all my original info and then ghosted me once they realised I’d dotted my i’s and crossed my t’s.

I just don’t know where to go from here, the discount would be substantial and is still a month away.

Was planning on cancelling at the last second and booking elsewhere.
