Just admit it that you're eating 15 cheeseburgers🍔 in one sitting.
freeze and eat for a week!
Did this as a uni student…. No regrets
Is there any downside to freezing abd then reheating them
@leasky: Probably the taste.
@InsertCrow: and texture
@capslock janitor: i froze one overnight and nuked it the next day. still good surprisingly.
@InsertCrow: Are you saying the taste can get even worse?!!
@Save 50 Cent: Haha i mean like is it better then one of them frozen burgers you buy from coles
You shouldn’t be doing that. When I worked there many moons ago the beef patty arrived frozen from factory. So essentially they cook from frozen and then you are freezing again and reheating, I wouldn’t do it!
@J B S: Cooking process would kill most lurgies.. the bigger problem is eating half cooked frozen patties.
@Ozbargainasaurus: what lurgies
@J B S: can you elaborate whats the problem with reheating again @J B S
Food that is frozen a second time is likely to have higher levels of food poisoning bacteria
(https://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/health/healthyliving/foo…)
It’s totally up to you if you believe the health advice
@J B S: There's no problem whatsoever. The vast majority of the meat you cook with is frozen at some point.
So if you ever cook something and freeze it you're replicating the same "scary" process and you probably never got sick from that.
My ex-partner had the same belief, I guess it's part of pop culture haha
pop culture
Don’t think so see my above comment:
Food that is frozen a second time is likely to have higher levels of food poisoning bacteria
(https://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/health/healthyliving/foo…)
ex-partner was correct
Anyone who works in the food service industry knows this and it common knowledge lol
@J B S: Read what I said and read the whole paragraph on betterhealth. I'll help, here's what you quoted along with the rest of the paragraph:
"Food that is frozen a second time is likely to have higher levels of food poisoning bacteria. The risk depends on the condition of the food when frozen, and how the food is handled between thawing and refreezing. Raw food should never be refrozen once thawed."
We are not talking about the same thing.
@peskyMatt: I’ll help you too.
The risk depends on the condition of the food when frozen, and how the food is handled between thawing and refreezing
When I worked there they had a 10 minute rule where burgers had to be thrown out after ten minutes of sitting at room temperature.
Menulog take longer than 10minutes to deliver your burger so often than not the burger arrives semi-cold even in an insulated bag (kept under 60 degrees C isn’t considered safe) Going off betterhealth the risk would be high given how the food is:
handled between thawing and refreezing
@J B S: Okay gotcha. This is an entirely different argument though, not at all your initial premise so I don't see your point, sorry.
Ahhh, student living at its finest.
? This math doesn't add up
20.49 / 15 is not $ 1.71
Yeah not sure what I punched into my calculator, but clearly wrong whatever it was.
This is my achilles heel
Shame they don't offer pickup
Some ozbargain chap will do a supersize me with 200 cheeseburgers in a month for $209

Check your CBA yello to see if you have $15 off $30 spend…
dont have :(
I have a door dash 50% off
Ordered 25 for just over $30
Stacked with CommBank yellow $15 off $30 spend
So $15 for 25 cheeseburgers delivered
Now you're really OzBargaining 👍
Update: got 2 extra for free
What did u have to do for the 2 extra for free?
Went back to HJ's to return them for a refund
@Highest ground: lmao wtf
How are you getting it for $15?
I added x25 to card which was $32.49. Minus the $15 CBA promo its $17.49?
I don't think he means to the exact $15, and also delivery fees differ depending on the location.
Like I ordered 24 and it was $30.49 delivered.. so after the cashback it'll be $15.49.
Yea as xis123 said. 30.49 for 25 burgers including $2.99 delivery and $2.50 service fee
Then $15 off
So $15.49 after cashback
You're a ozbargain king. Good job.
will order 65 and just wait at hungry jacks
Or just have it delivered to the store.
Ordered 15, got accepted and being prepared.
Got my stash, thank you OP.
Are you going to eat them all or freeze some?
ate 5 already (one as a "triple" cheeseburger and other two just the patties with the cheese…. the bread buns are just toooo thick compared to Macca's.
also no pickle like maccas.
rest for fam (2) or later
@kehuehue: That’s weird, at my hungry jack’s they do include a pickle?
@kehuehue: 4 out of 6 of mine had pickles
@TEER3X: Gonna order again for tomorrow and ask then to add pickles so far 10 didnt have any
@kehuehue: I relate to this comment so much it almost hurts. Came to the comments just to see pictures, thanks! Also I used to make doubles and triples with the Maccas $1 hamburgers :') Friends would all spend $15+ and I'd just be there rearranging my 4 or 5 burgers. ps: adding cheese/avocado/sauce at home can be fun and good.
Thanks, ordered 10 for $18
i would buy at least 35 if i lived alone 😿
Not looking forward to the wife's glare as 30 are delivered.
Divorce her, cheap burgs are vastly more inportant.
The burgs might be more moist as well
Since when was a cheeseburger picked up $15?
?
Their delivery fee system is a joke I placed myself next to a hungry jacks (100m away, central sydney) and the fee is still $5.95, same as 40min away from previous address lol
my local pickup unavailable.

Why on earth would you remove mustard?
my gurls find hj mustard too harsh 🤷♂️
Got mine. Have to say, they're far better than the Maccas ones.
Edit - the top few were doubles for some reason. The others are closer.
Got 6 only, didn't think about freezing them so only ordered enough to feed the family… super fresh, and buns were soft and delicious, unlike Carl's jr which is a similar distance away.
Does your family consist of just you, because 6 burgers divided by any number greater than 1 seems like a snack rather than a meal.

Cheers team, ordered 28 for my 'party' I'm throwing, will be explaining to the delivery bruv how the guests will be arriving shortly..
Managed $30.80c total, so $1.10 a schloppy!
All thats going through my head rn is Sam Jackson "That IS A TASTY BURGER!"
My 15 were anything but tasty
Bugger, unlucky moite. I'm prepping my accoutrements as we speak, its all about decking the burger out imo. Lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, sauce, beetroot, etc.
Glam that burger up!
@Ozbargainasaurus: Pineapple if yo feelin nastyyyy ;)
@nokidsandthreemoney: Ewww nice idea, fry it first + bacon… Geez I'm hungry
Why do you have to explain anything to the delivery bruh?
Don't want a random dude I'll never see again thinking any less of me than my immediate family.
What will you do if the delivery guy asks to come to the party?
tellem then my burger party would turn into a sausage party.. and thats a nono
😆
I didn't think that far ahead, but fortunately he didn’t..
30 for $21.49 with $15 off sign up code. Thanks OP
