    • How did you save $1.56 with that ebay FedEx link when the ebay link price is 180+30 shipping while this deal is 180+25 shipping?

      • US dollars

        Its AUD$180+$25 - AUD$203.44 = AUD$1.56

The price in the OP is USD…

        • ok that then brings this to

          USD $174.5 + $24 - USD $174.3+$29 = USD +$4.8

MY BAD sry folks thought this was in AUD !, but remember USPS Express is nothing compared to FedEx…

OK, maybe not the cheapest out there (I said that in the post), but some might be interested in purchasing direct from crucial (good tech support available)

tech support? you just plug it in.

      • I didn't mean to ruin the deal, just provide cheaper prices… :)

      $180+$25-$199.45=$5.55

      That's a savings of only US$5.55 not $12.

      • EDIT: yup ur right I though this was AUD…

Just buy a Samsung 830 with 3 years local warranty for $4 more.

    • How does the performance of Crucial compare with Samsung?

Where do I buy the Samsung?

Samsung is just as good and reliable as crucial.

      • a review i read recently put them par for par
but crucial have a longer history of reliability and i think $/gb value is marginally higher as well

its better in every category but the difference is SO MINIMAL that you wont notice it

  • Really waiting for that half day they drop it back to $159.99 on Amazon.
Was snoozing and lost on Oct 15th.

Keep an eye out for Black Friday sales coming up

      • Hopefully before then but yes I will.
23rd November for Black Friday, and Cyber Monday is the 26th Nov for those wondering.

    • do they ship to OZ directly or via forwarder?

      • Forwarder with some other stuff I have to get.

  • Looking to upgrade in the near future.

Is the worth the upgrade or are there upgrades/better SSD's being released in the near future?

    • Get a crucial m4 or samsung 830 and you'll be fine.

There are faster ones out now, but they cost a lot more. Also, in the real world, the models I listed already speed things up so much that going even faster makes barely any difference.

  • Earlier deal today for Samsung 256GB 830:

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/82780

Buy 2 with a mate and it works out to approx $180 AUD each shipped
