Cheapest Way to Get Microsoft 365 Subscription Family Plan?

Hi guys, I am currently on Microsoft 365 personal plan - I am paying $76.30 per year as I am eligible for the HUP program.

I needed to upgrade to the family plan (as we needed the onedrive account for each family member). I checked online and the new cost is now $139 per year. Essentially there is no more HUP special price as this $139 appears to be a full RRP. (for instance JB Hifi sell this Office 365 family for the same exact $139).

Would like to know if you guys know if HUP eligible user can get a better price for the family subscription?

Thanks a bunch.

Save On IT tend to have it under $110 year round:

Try saveonit.com.au - $106. I've used them for years. Sometimes Office works will price beat, too.

  • Thanks guys. I will check their website.

  • This would be the cheapest way. Still works for me.

    • Thanks. Any risk for Microsoft to detect this and ban the account otherwise?

        No, they will not.
If anything where to happen in the future, the most is that they will do is reject your payment method.
        No risk of a ban.

        • Thanks. i will have a closer look.

Been using it for a year with no issues. You're technically subscribed to Onedrive via a third party (Apple in this case). Worst case I can think of is Apple lifting its Turkish price to be on par with the rest.
If you are really worried, get the family plan with a dummy account then invite yourself and other family members in.

        • Thanks mate. That is a good idea - didnt think of that. Cheers mate.

    • is there a PC version of this? couldn't install one drive via apple store , don't use mac :(

  • Do you need O365 or just Office apps such as word, excel etc? You can get perpetual Office 2021 volume licence for around $25-30.

    • actually need the office 365 suite (and onedrive)….

      • what is it about office 365 that you need?, as opposed to a stand alone suite?…

        • what is it about office 365 that you need?

          Excel

        • Apart from the usual word/excel, we need the onedrive and also onenote.

          • @jeeg: Onenote is awesome….

            • @jv: yes indeed!!

    • If you are going to get pirated versions why would you pay for it.

      • It’s not a pirated version. You install official version and use the key that you buy.

        • The key is dodgy as. It is as legitimate as using a keygen/cracking program.

Get somebody else to pay for it.

    • ok :-)

  • Essentially there is no more HUP special price

Dont know why u say that. I still see a discounted price.

    • oh? When i login to Microsoft Account and i click to "upgrade" my current office 365 personal plan, it brought me to a page where it indicates the cost is $139. What I meant to say is that this $139 is the same RRP price if u were to buy from JB Hifi as a normal customer, not someone who is on the HUP scheme.

Are you able to see a different price otherwise?

  • I would not buy off any 3rd parties that are not authorised resellers like ebay or websites claiming to sell Office software licence keys.
Even if they claim to be legitimate, do some research.

The reason for this is that the activation keys may work, but they are likely not meant to be resold to you.

If your buying a working key but its not meant for you legitimately, you might as well get it for free.
It is not hard to activate Office or Windows for no money that Microsoft servers recognise and will work. GitHub even has instructions.

Bottom line, if your paying for a key not meant for you, you might as well get it free. Its probably how the non-authored resellers got it anyways.

If you have a family member who is eligible for the corporate/workplace pricing plans, its 30% off per year and 1TB data each for 6 users.
