Digital version of the game now reduced to $14.95. The "Rock Band 4 Rivals Bundle", includes the now-free Rivals DLC, which adds new modes and songs to the game.
No discount for the Xbox One/Series version unfortunately, hopefully it'll be added soon.
You still need the guitar/ drum controllers to play. Old controllers (with their dongles) from Rock Band 1 - 3 should still work.
Today unfortunately is the day that Harmonix announced the last 3 DLC songs for Rock Band 4. After over 8 years of weekly new tracks, next week will they truly will be missed.
I wish Harmonix all the best for Fortnite Festival and I thank them for their years and years of commitment to RB4.

Epic Games acquired Harmonix quite a while ago so Harmonix could create Fortnite Festival.

i still have my old logitech guitar gear from ps3 days. would anyone know if they would be compatible with this?
ive been meaning to try. i did some research and some people say the old ps3 guitars work with rock band 4 with some updates but its not entirely clear.
Don't know about that, but check out Clone Hero for PC and see if you can get that working.

My old Logitech guitar, which has had its innards reglued and repaired innumerable times,works fine on PS4 Rock Band 4. :)
The old Ion drums work a treat, too.

I've been steadily selling a lot of my excess GH/RB guitars and accessories over thd last few months. Most recently sold the OG RB1 full set.
I've still got a few guitars to rely on.
Possibly a dumb question, but i've been using the disc version to play the game, could I just buy this and then not have to insert the disc in each time to play?
Or, would I have to go and re-download all of the DLC I have (~3083 songs)?
It should just convert the current install to a digital version without needing to redownload, at least it did with PS+ games from prior experience. If it doesn't I believe it prompts if you want to download all your owned DLC when you start the download (at least on PS5)
