  • Love ur lightsabers!

  • Looks like the Sipik SK68. Around $7.60 on eBay. Although they seem to be Q5 rather than Q3. No idea which is better.

  • mine turns off after being on for 1 hour… wait 10-15mins and back to working again… why is this?

    • Cooling down.

    • You use Alkaline batteries?

Alkaline batteries produce energy from a chemical reaction, you can use the battery until its drained then it needs time to recover. Turn it off and the chemicals start to react again and it needs a bit of time to build up.

I would recommend using NiMh batteries like eneloop.

      • i am using eneloop 'glitter' batteries… full charged and yes the casin does heat up.

        • Thats odd, it could be a heat issue then but I didn't think it would get hot enough from a 1.2v battery.

        • These torches have a driver circuit inside them that is designed for a lithium ion cell. the driver has a low voltage cut out, I think intended to protect a non protected lion cell from overdischarge. So what happens is that the battery voltage drops until the driver cuts out. Then over a period of time it recovers and the torch works again until the voltage get's too low.

Some of the better drivers don't just power off they go into 30% brightness mode for a little while so you have a chance to change the cell.

      • What a load of dingo's kidneys. I wonder where people get these strange ideas from LOL

    Dozens more on there

They are usually XP-E, you will get about 100-120 lumens out of a Alkaline or NiMh, around 200 out of a 14500.

@noz, the Q5 is a tiny bit brighter but not enough to see with the naked eye.

They are ok but the quality of them varies a lot as there is so many variants and they are all knock offs, I would consider them nearly disposable but they are ok for non flashaholics.

  • they've got the 6 in 1 multi tool for $0.94 as well http://www.meritline.com/6-in-1-multi-tool-stainless-steel-p…

    and camping light

    • Looks like that code expired.

  • any regulated sipik accept AA Ni-Mh battery?
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sipik-SK68-Cree-Q5-250Lumen-Conve…

stated regulated for 0.70 more….. is it true?

or must be special 18650 battery?

  • This seems to be the normal price now for these I bought some in August for $6.99 each. They are pretty powerful, but will chew through the AA pretty quick.

  • Get this one if you're brave enough:

Strictly lithium 18650, no AA :)

  • Has any run this in mule mode? Can get some pretty ridiculous flood going, easily lights up an entire room with a 14500. Just unscrew the bezel and remove the lens

  • Yeah, looks to be normalish price

  • Like others have said, its cheaper on Ebay.

I bought mine from tmart for $4 when they had this on sale

  • I bought this from Meritline site they are very bright. this is the best one i had so far. using single AA battery. Highly recommended

  • Just received a fake one from tomtop.
The clicker is so small and the pill is definitely not cree.

The zoomer is also loose, which tells us it's a fake…
