    Damn not the foaming

    • +3

I bought a powered sensor foaming dispenser - add 30ml of this to 300ml water and you'll have foam for months

      • +1

        link for the powered dispenser?

        • also interested in what foaming dispensers people have bought

          • @ozturtle: Especially automated, I'm very lazy, uses like .3 to .4 calories to push that thing down every time for soap.

          Didn't realise it was 450ml…

The instructions are poor. Don't just fill one of these up full of soap - it will never work.
Pour in 30ml of soap & top up with water .. wave your hand under it a few times to prime it & it'll foam up nicely after that.

You can use the Palmolive foaming dispenser also. 1:3 (soap to water) and it works perfectly.

        • I do about 1:5 and it works fine, although I have a gripe. I try not to use the anti bac stuff because superbugs, but the other stuff usually has some moisturiser or something(the pearly coloured soap) and I have found that after a few refills that clogs the foaming dispenser and you need to replace it. So I feel like I am forced to buy this anti bac one

          • @Jackson: I'm not sure I follow - what's wrong with the antibacterial soap? Superbugs? 🤔

            • +1

@KangaDrew: @KangaDrew I think @Jackson is saying antibac soap kills most things, but risks creating superbugs from the surviving bugs?

              • @smileyfrank: Yes, basically my understanding is regular soap sticks to things so that you can effectively wash everything down the sink, while antibacterial soap actually tries to kill the bugs. I know that in the past bugs were evolving to be resistant to being killed, and I was under the impression that antibacterial soap was going to be banned. I guess either the ban didn't happen or they are using some other anti bac agent that isn't banned for some reason. Maybe someone can enlighten us

      • How much was the sensor dispenser, is it any good? How long batteries last.

    • Thanks, I got stung on this once.

Isn't the foaming just half this half water through a foaming dispenser? That's what I've been doing and works fine.

    • +1

Even less than half soap. I use one third and it works perfectly

Woolies currently have them on sale for $3.50 for 1L bottle if you don't wanna bulk buy 3 bottles.

After reading about adding this and water to make own foaming soap, I gave it a try. I failed miserably and the foaming mechanism on the dispenser jammed. Oh well, learnt my lesson.

    • Oh no I'm about to do the same but just saw ur comment. What ratio of soap to water did you use before it got jammed?

      • I think I did 1:3 as that's what I gathered from the comments in one of the earlier posts.

      • +1

make sure you shake it well to dissolve before you hit the pump

    • +1

Probably, you added a lot of soap than needed. 1:5 works well. Also, warm water is preferred to prepare the mix.

      • Ok, I didn't mix with warm water

    • +2

I also failed at this after a few tries, #feelingstupid lol

  • I find Palmolive pretty average. There's one in Woolies called The Balnea Body Company - Antibacterial (it's orange) that's cheap and seems pretty good.

    • They also sell for $3.50

      • Yes. I assumed it'd be cheap n Nasty, but it's ok.

        • Cool. Will give it a try

          • +1

@RSmith: They have a little bottle with pump and a bigger refill.

    • Has any one used this for diluting in a foam dispenser & how did it go?

  • Same price as my local Woolworths in VIC. Each is 3.50, non foaming

So if you only need 1, woolies might be your best bet although nothing wrong with stocking it up

  • for those thinking about using this as foaming soap by mixing water, highly not recommended as bacteria/organisms will grow in the water, better off waiting for a sale on the foaming soap

    • +7

bacteria/organisms growing in an antibacterial solution…?

      • You should see what else they do in it

  • Foaming Lime and Mint is on special now, $15.3 per three 1L refill bottles. I will keep waiting until it's $12 again.
