Oporto.

I dont know what they do different, but from their chosen chicken salt, to their spicy sauces, it ranks in my absolute top options for fast food.

  I'd imagine salt with spices, plenty of 'fat' meat (i.e. mince with high fat content) - gives you 2 of the golden trifecta (salt, fat, sugar)
  
  That's why combo meals are so popular - fat from the burger, sugar from the drink and salt from the chips

    Yeah, but by that rule you'd imagine KFC or Maccas or such would also tickle the same parts of the brain\tastebuds, but something is 'better' at Oporto (for me).

      Oporto chips have always tasted sweet to me, so much so that I suspect they use some sort of chicken sugar/ salt mix which actually works when paired with their chilli sauce as the ginger in it helps cut through the sweetness. Easily my favourite fast food and definitely my favourite mild hot sauce.
