Do the vouchers in that post look familiar?

    • +6

At first I was thinking the same thing, but given that these are originally electronic (not scans of paper coupons), one would hope the likelihood of getting HJ managers to accept them should be higher! :)

      • Yep I see they are different in that way now, when I posted the above the image / link wasn't visible, was going just by the descriptions which seemed identical to the previous offer :)

I've managed to print and use the other ones, most staff don't seem to care.

        • +2

Agreed, for the most part I've had no trouble with scans, sometimes they're even happy to accept an image on the phone screen…but there's still a few hardass managers out there unfortunately! ;)

        • I notice that they say the voucher must be presented at time of purchase but it doesn't specify how. You'd think that with these ones in particular, showing them on a phone would be acceptable as you are indeed presenting it thus fulfilling the requirement.

If anyone does this and cops a knockback, just say you don't have a printer and this is your only method of presenting them the voucher.

Edit: Just noticed on the picture of the fridge it does say to print the vouchers…

I notice that they say the voucher must be presented at time of purchase

I'm going to do a PowerPoint presentation for them…

        • +3

LOL, I hope you'll consider something by Wagner as background music jv? :)

        • I used a printed voucher at Wynyard station Sydney and they were pretty pissed off about it… Took them 5 minutes before they accepted it saying "we'll take it this one time only" :(

        • I used a printed voucher at Wynyard station Sydney and they were pretty pissed off about it…

Did you ask them why? The voucher explicitly says

"Print off your vouchers and head in store…."

        • Probably printed from the previous deal which was a scan of a page of vouchers.

"Print off your vouchers and head in store…."

I hope they have the facilities for me to print off my vouchers and my head in the store.

          This shall get interesting.

Oddly enough, it may not be too much longer until they call your bluff on that one: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000087239639044381680457800… ;)

I always thought of Hungry Jacks as a scientific organisation!

        • That was actually a good read.

      • Printed versions of the previous vouchers were accepted at HJ Qantas Domestic Terminal.

        • +15

I prefer mine minus horrifying BO and screeching children.

        • Wonder if they could cook me up some brodens?…

        • +1

My understanding is that Brodens require kosher cooking! ;)

    • Just what I was after!

Are you going Asian or French ?

I might try Lebanese at the Lakemba store…

  • I normally get 2 flame grilled whoppers for the price of one ($4.95) at my local store with a shopper docket. Same with a cheeseburger (2 for price of 1).

I thought HJ deals were banned?

    • There has only been the one problem with Jacks, the footytips voucher. which didn't result in all offers being banned here.

  • +1

The only (half) healthy option 'TenderGrill' is not available!!!! It's a conspiracy to contribute to the already obese society LOL

    Best value meal ever is:

    Shake up a 50% off.

    Order a stunner deal:
    1 x Cheese Burger
    1 x small fries
1 x small drink - with refills at some stores
    1 x sundae

    All for $2.45 - Can't go wrong

  • +1

Has anyone tried using a 50% voucher from the shake and win and using one of these coupons?

    • A 50% against a coupon will not work usually.

a 50% against a published menu - no questions asked - they just do it.

  • This is a great deal. I'm far from interested in eating more HJ's, but to their credit it was as far back as 1997-98 when the little HJ's booklets got you 2 Whoppers with cheese for circa $3.75 or so in WA (and the 2 chicken fillet burgers were about $4.50).

As far as longevity goes, the only comparable deal from that long ago is the bottle of bourbon and a stick you can still get for $50.

  • Just used coupons via phone screen at carousel WA. Thanks! :)
