[iOS] Python, Coding, Code - Codehub - Free Lifetime (Was US$119.99) @ Apple App Store

612

Freebie! This lifetime subscription usually costs a lot of money US$119.99. Credit to My Dealz.

Codehub is an app for iOS for learning various programming languages such as Python, Swift, Javascript…

You should get Lifetime Premium for $0.

Edit: App has a new update that fixed app crashing.

If the app crashes (for various reasons) someone found the solution.

How to get around the “app crashes” error:

1. Turn off the internet completely (no WiFi & no mobile data — flight mode is best)
2. Open the app
3. Wait briefly
4. Turn on the internet
5. The app no longer crashes!

If the app crashes again, just start again at point 1

    A programming app that crashes.
    How fitting.

  • +6

Is the crash some kind of test of your programming skills, if you can get around the crash you've taken your first steps to becoming a crack programmer?

  • +7

    Confirming it crashes.

Btw, is there some new subscription model in App Store that allows to offer "free lifetime subscription" and somehow change it to paid in a couple of years? There have been so many "bargains" offering lifetime IAP recently…

Exactly what I started becoming suspicious of and started wondering.

    • If not this,
My guess is a bunch of middle managers gaming their own subscription KPIs.

    Turn off the internet completely

Seems a bit drastic but would probably solve many of the world’s problems.

    • +2

Well said , no more disinformation according to the establishment !

    • +2

agree. appreciate the free app but app developer needs a decent developer

  • +1

I cannot seem to stop it from crashing. When I turn off the internet I get an error; then when I turn it back on it doesn’t check whether I’m connected to the internet again unless I close and reopen the app, which causes it to crash again

  • Added it, but yeah crashes a lot. Not sure will use this app much.

  • Keeps crashing…. Unusable.

  • +4

Workaround to stop app crashing is required every time you launch the app, which is annoying.

Python lessons are cooking, there is no lesson useless

    • +1

Is this a sentence written in Python?

  • well I'll get it now hopefully devs fix it later

    • +2

Dev will make that as a coding challenge and get you to fix it.

  • +2

FYI @Scrooge McDeal, looks like the app developer just updated it. New version installed and no longer crashing.

  • Thanks OP,

  • No crashes on my old iPhone 8plus, but I did see they have just released an updated version

    just study on udemy?

  • I'm gonna learn programming from somewhere else and fix this app. Where do I get the source code - someone help?

  • Thanks OP. My 11 year old daughter is very interested in learning JavaScript & Python and hopefully this would be helpful.

After looking at the app permissions and privacy policy, I gave this a pass

    • Anything specific that concerns you?

      • +1

Its too much for my liking for just a learning app. I think its probably more productive just to read online tutorials/youtube

        • Thanks.

Half-baked effort from a bunch of would-be programmers. You’d have to be suspicious of anything that constantly feeds info to the parent server. Too risky.

    Horrible lag in this

  • Thanks op

Thanks for sharing, I downloaded it but has no idea how to activate lifetime membership. The app is poorly designed with lots of broken links, help please? thanks

    • I had to create an account. Will need an email and password to create one. Once logged in I was able to activate the free lifetime membership from the “Account” tab.

      • Thanks for sharing! I created an account, and everything looks and works the same. Then, I realised if I kill the app and relaunch, I see a "Go Premium" button disappear very quickly. For now, I assume it automatically redeemed the free lifetime membership…
