Alright, so we've got this Kensington KTG Dual Wireless Ergo Keyboard – sounds like a weird outer space designation, doesn't it? But apparently, it's all about making your typing experience fancier and more comfortable.

First things first, they've gone all ergonomic on us – the keyboard is split and sloped, and you can adjust it like it's a fancy recliner for your hands and wrists. Supposedly, it's all about comfort and alignment, but I'm just here to type, not do yoga with my keyboard.

Now, it's got dual wireless action going on, like it's trying to be the James Bond of keyboards. 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth 4.0 LE – I didn't even know keyboards had generations. And they're throwing around 128-bit AES encryption like we're in some spy movie. Who's trying to steal my Ctrl and Alt keys?

The keys are quiet, which is a plus. I don't need my keyboard sounding like a tap-dancing class while I'm trying to write a grocery list. And get this, spill-proof keys. I mean, I've spilled coffee on more keyboards than I care to admit, so I appreciate the effort. They say it can survive exposure to cleaning solvents – like, who's cleaning their keyboard with bleach? Are we typing in a biohazard zone now?

There's a three-mode power-saving switch, as if we're dealing with a TV remote. I just want to type, not toggle between keyboard channels. Apparently, it helps with battery life, but I don't want my keyboard pulling a disappearing act mid-sentence.

In the end, it's a keyboard – split, sloped, dual-wireless, and all that jazz. If you're into typing in style and want your keyboard to survive the next coffee spill apocalypse, this Kensington thing might be up your alley. For me, as long as it types words without too much drama, it's doing its job.

Which brand are the Kmart ones?

I'm still using my Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000

    Shame it's being discontinued…

I have one of these and it just feels… cheap and nasty. That’s the only way to describe it.

I like the ergonomic layout but hate the keyboard quality

    • Agreed. I have serious problems with the Bluetooth connection. Constantly have keys get jammed. Very frustrating experience. Better off getting the cheap OfficeWorks or Kmart ones, can't be any worse than this one.
