We stopped buying Bonds because the material is often so thin it sometimes feels like the product has no life left and it's the first wear. Gone to Tradie and others.

I think bonds are pushing it a bit far, could easily turn people off the product. The scowl really tops it off.
Don't think they were actually aiming to generate much profit from this particular product. It's more about creating certain image which would please certain group in order to stay relevant. It's a well-calculated business move at the end of the day.
Is it though? The females in my family have not bought Bonds in a long time when it used to be all they had. Occasionally the gender-free range gets pulled up on a phone or laptop as a spectacle, but then they buy something else from somewhere else. Declining product quality is part of it, but i think overweight 20yo men shown wearing their bras etc. is really turning a lot of former female customers off their brand.
Men commenting on here would mean very little to them, as guys we wear our jock until the fibres blow away in the wind but i think women are leaving them in droves, ironically causing them to further try more radical marketing.
It sure is! They are aware there would be varying reactions to this campaign: Some will be pleased. Some will be turned off as you mentioned. Others dgaf at all.
My point is, they (the executives all the way to their business think tank) have considered all that and decided this is the strategy that would generate them more $$ in the long run.Is it the right move? Time will tell.
All model jokes aside (there is a flavour for everyone, this isn’t mine) in saying that though bonds quality has plummeted over the last 2yrs. Babies and toddlers is especially noticeable but also in their bras, particularly their maternity range.
Never mind their advertising to encourage men to wear their bras saying we need support too… anyway that last one is a personal view.

Stringy, light, see through material. May as well just wear nothing. Can never get the straps untangled when pulling them on. Why even waste your life making this product let alone selling it?!
