Repost of my last deal from 18+ months ago.

I bought this shaver in January 2022 and it is still going strong, so wanted to share again what I think is an amazing deal! EDIT: Quite a few people in the comments getting it for $12.32 AUD with a new account.

I use it at least twice a week to trim my beard, regularly use it on my whole body (the answer is yes) on #0 (no guard attachment), and my partner kindly cuts my hair to a #3 or #6 every 6 weeks or so. It still cuts great (although I'm sure it was never to the standard of the really expensive ones) and battery life lasts plenty of cuts.

Not having to screw around with multiple guard attachments, a propriety charger or batteries is great. Just chuck it on a USB-C cable charge every few weeks, and use the single guard attachment for it to slot in at the different lengths (3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21).

My one downside would be that the little plastic parts on the guard that slot into the shaver are a little bit flimsy, and being quite careless jamming it back in, one of the side parts eventually broke and I had to buy a replacement guard for ~$5. With a bit of care, this won't be an issue.

Aside from that, I seriously cannot fault it, and for $20 I find it so much better than <$100 Wahls, Brauns and Phillips I've had over the years that you inevitably lose a charger or guard for. But of course, that's just my opinion :~)

It is a great hair clipper. I got it for $15.54 back in June 2023. Looks like all the prices have gone up though :(

    • +7

      I got mine for $5
      Still works as new.

      • +2

        Mine stopped charging 😔

        • Did you let the battery go (near) flat before recharging, like it says in the manual? And not to keep it charging once it is fully charged?

      • +10

My family is ashamed for me spending triple the amount

        • +5

Shave their heads when they are sleeping. That'll show 'em.

          • +1

@bdl: Just shave half their heads. :) Half the work, Twice the punishment.

      • -4

Market researchers take note. We are a strong consumer body and won't buy this for more than $8.

        We actually wAF

  • +5

Seems like a good one, but doesnt look like its safe around the boys down there. The teeth looks quite widely spaced.

    • +2

It's good enough if I'm being careful, but certainly not nick-proof.

      • +27

Don't let Nick near ur nutsack then!

        • +7

          If it's Nicole, then it's all her's

        • +14

I don't discriminate, Nicks and Non-Nicks all welcome.

  • +3

I got one of these for $29 (with $10 signup) during covid, hasn't missed a beat and solid quality.

    • +1

Looks pretty good! Not having to screw around with different guard or plugging it in to a wall socket is awesome, though. I take this travelling and it takes up hardly any space.

      • +2

True. The Wahl are full sized clippers, not for travelling really but reliable and robust. Good solid brand though.
Those ones look handy for a 20 though.

      • u talking about the link from G-rig? looks like corded tho?

    • link is a corded one yes? you compare to the cordless OP posted. am i missing something?

      • Yes mate, think it's pretty good only $10 more for a decent solid brand (Wahl) you can pick up in a local store.
More powerful and built to last.

We will see if these Enchen are utter garbage once people receive them (got one anyway considering $12 but will prob sit around).

    Showing $10 delivered for me

AliExpress accounts (or looking at it without an account) will almost always show discrepancies – someone may end up getting a better deal than another based on a number of factors. Just did my best to share a price that matched what it said with my account and when not logged in via Incognito Mode.

    • Is the URL directing you to aliexpress.com or is it being directed to somewhere else like vi.aliexpress etc?

      • AliExpress.com

    • +1

$12.32 delivered with first time sign up. Just used a spare email address to create a new account.

  • Hey short/close of a shave does it so for lining up the neck line for the beard?

    • +5

This will either give you a lot of context or a lot of confusion: https://imgur.com/a/svDV5MT

*Not for beard line, but general length for #0 VS #3 at bottom part of hairline fading into #6 for the rest

      • Thanks. So is the bottom half of the picture trimmed at lowest setting? Looks like it gets close which is what I want

  • +1

Cheers OP, worked out to $20.10 delivered for me

  • +1

Id consider a wahl magic cotdless replica in the under 40 price range. Much more power. Barber reviews on youtube cant distinguish it from the real thing

  • Do you have to sharpen the clipper often? I bought a Phillips one and eventually it was barely cutting my hair when fully charged, was like trying to chew through carpet. Still haven't had any success in sharpening the metal cutter attachment.

    • +2

I've honestly never thought about it! Haven't oiled either.

Maybe I've got used to it dulling and it actually is less sharp than when I bought it, but it's still plenty good for what I'm doing!

    • +2

No, that's the beauty of ceramic - it never requires oiling or sharpening.

All my previous clippers have been ceramic and the motor or the battery died before the blades ever did.

      • I find it works better if you oil it.

    • Could it be the battery?

I bought a $10 KMart set about 5 years ago and it started doing the same thing, but if I have it plugged in while using it it's still as good as new.

      • Unlikely, I had it for about 9 months before I experienced difficulty in cutting my hair.

    • Sounds like it needs oil on the blades.

  • good for the pits?

    • Not razor close and can still see some specks, but plenty good!

    • +2

Is this about this seller, or AliExpress in general?
There's a bunch of sellers with this product around the same price, I just linked the cheapest one.

    • The only issue I’ve ever had with Ali is when they sent me a lightbulb instead of a phone cable. Took a few back and forwards emails, but eventually got it sorted (was only $4 so didn’t really care).

But couple of weeks ago, bought some things (shipped from China) and it arrived 4 days later.

      • +4

Ali is pretty shitty. All the seller has to do is provide some sort of excuse and they will side with them and close the dispute with no way to appeal it. Don't buy anything from Ali that you're not prepared to lose in transit.

        • +3

I have never had a dispute issue with Ali not resolved in my favor with way over 100 bought items items so far including a number of disputes. I find the expensive stuff now turns up very quickly (usually under two weeks) and the cheap stuff can take up to two months.

The cheap stuff that never turned up has ALWAYS been refunded. The companies sometimes got twitchy but Ali always refunds me. Maybe they resolve things differently if you have not been a regular customer?

A few times the refunded dispute items turned up eventually and I asked them could I pay and they always said no, no worries.

I find them more reliable than buying from ebay myself.

        • +3

Ali support so far always sided with me in disputes. Of course I never abuse it and always get ample proof (including videos when first opening the packages and inspecting the items). When reasonable, the solution has involved full refunds, so yeah, I'm still shopping there and the last item I ordered two days ago is $250 (and not the most expensive purchased, among hundreds of purchases across the years). Fingers crossed for the future.

        • Not disputing your experience but i have NEVER had a dispute not resolved in my favour. Bought hundreds of items (mostly pretty low value but some much higher).

        • I have also purchased hundreds of items from Ali, and have a better success rate than ebay. I think perhaps one item didn't arrive, and I got refunded without knowing about it until much later?

  • +1

    $12.32 for me.

  • +1

Nice, $12.32aud delivered at checkout (when tax is added) for me

  • Any good clippers for dogs?
I have a poodle with a thick coat.

  • awesome , $12.32 for me. thanks @Doy

  • +1

I would go for Kemei 5027 renpho clone or vgr 937/ 961 is water proof

  • The white one is $19.46 (plus tax) here: https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005005178500305.html

  • Lol I do not use the same clippers for beard and body.. doesn't sound too hygienic lol.
I have a dedicated beard trimmer, hair trimmer and body trimmer.
Body trimmer is cordless and waterproof.
Beard trimmer is a Wahl with adjustable comb

    • +6

What are you doing to your body that's so dirty

      • Hahaha you haven't been working in health, clearly.. from the amount of screening tests we do on patients. It's one of the most common sites for mrsa commonly known as golden staph. It would discourage anyone to use the same device accessory for that region and anywhere else on the body

        • +3

If you've got MRSA on your balls then you should be concerned about that, not about sharing a clipper.

          • @macrocephalic: That's what I'm getting at. It goes undiagnosed untila swab gets done. Anyway after seeing how many patients come with positive cultures I got discouraged from putting the same blade anywhere near my face hence why I keep separate tools..
I don't have it but don't want to risk it.

            • +2

@maverickjohn: TBH if you have MRSA in your groin, you probably (more likely) have it in your nostrils as well (nares).

The only reason you are seeing it diagnosed so frequently is you probably work in an ICU or acute care where they still bother swabbing everyone for MRSA. It's a debatable practice and pointless IMO but should be tailored the antibiogram in your hospital.

The prevalence is reasonable in the community as it is somewhere from 10 - 40% based on where you live and the antibiograms you look at.

Not because you are shaving your groin and then your face.

        • Sounds a bit like the Herpes thing, and how everybody has it.
All for hygiene, but people must tough everything when out and about and germs are unavoidable even in the house.

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMQTg4Y0YT0

  • Seriously good price! I hate it that my 190 dollar Philips trimmer doesn't go above 10mm even with the extension attachment.
Would have tried this if I didn't already didn't have 2 trimmers

    • You spend $190 on one trimmer. You can impulse buy this for 20 bucks.
Go on, you know you want to.

      • The sad part is I waited for it to drop in price for a month and bought it when it dropped by 10 or so but then it wet down by another 30 after I got it.
Of course I want to, but I'll wait this one out.

  • +2

Pay an extra $9 for AU stock on eBay.

    • +11

      Hand in your ozbargain license.

      • at least Ebay plus items would show up the next day or two.
Mine has gone missing in transit somewhere..

    • +1

Got a link? I want to use this travelling soon and with USB-C, no need for my bulky panasonic charger.

  • -1

$20.24 for me. would buy for $12

    • You need to register a new email (new account).

  • Got for $12 delivered :D

  • Got one thanks OP! I travel regularly and always leave the charger behind, been looking for a USB one for a while.

  • +1

I use it for my Guinea pigs, and it works great

  • -1

Can i use this for a close shave? Did you manage to remove all the body hair? I want no hair at all

    • -1

Nope, blade zero then razor and shaving cream.

    • Laser.
It's a hair trimmer not a beard trimmer.
I am tempted to get one for 10$ with signup but doesn't look like it would go that short for skin fades (ie blade 0 - 0.5 -1-2) like the normal clipper guards (plus you can adjust length with lever too.

The ergonomics look a bit awkward and can't imagine taking it traveling anywhere, but may get one to test.

  • +1

$10.44 for the 1st order (new signup).

    • That's before taxes.
      Was AU$12.09 for me.

  • Looks useful as a travel one - no separate charger and no multiple guards.

  • any good for pubes? asking for a friend

    • +5

Yes, and since it’s portable, you and your friend should be able to share just fine!

  • i have one of these.
i use it to share my chest and back hair

    • +9

Do you send it in the mail for family birthdays or something?

  • -1

Not as good as my old philips(around $100) with multiple attachments, but for the price, can't complain. I use it weekly, so if I were to buy again, I'd spend more on a decent one.

  • Thanks OP, paid $12.32.

  • Just note that the min comb size is 3mm… Not really suitable for people who wants a closer shave…

    • +2

It's removable and then size is 0.7mm

      • I know but if you wanted to blend from 2.5mm to 1.5mm you cant

        • That's why normal ones better can adjust manually with the lever. These travel ones be ok for same length or quick going overs.

  • Ozbargained?

  • Not sure how I got it for 12.32 but I'll take it. Thanks OP

  • Thanks op will use for nuts

    • -1

      Hairy nuts are manly nuts😉

  • +1

    Got black for 12.32. Thanks
