Any upgrade option for 4070ti or new super card ? Thank you!

    • Sure will ask team to add on!

  • What are the dimensions of the case?

Friendly reminder that the rtx 4070 ventus 2x and 3x non oc and oc models have badly designed coolers that fail to cool one of the memory vrm phases and some of the core vrm phases on the card. I don't know if MSI has fixed that with these "E" model refreshes that is seen in this prebuilt but something worth keeping in mind imo if they haven't

  • Are you planning to do a ryzen 7500f or 7600 build soon? @BPC Technology

    • We are planning the 7500F and the 7800X3D build, but meanwhile we looking at the super series launch so we might do if after 4080 super released :)

I'm keeping an eye out on a good entryish level build for my wife (She keeps taking my pc to play Hogwarts for hours).
What irks me with all these deals is the 512gb system drive.
    That isn't enough.
They should all be 1gb standard. Some AAA games are north of 100gb, and the price difference is pretty minimal.

(Edit: I apologise, it seems you have a 1gb upgrade option for only $39, which is very reasonable!)

      You mean 1TB?

      • Haha yep i sure do

    • You only really need the ssd for the OS. You can easily add on other HDDs and SSDs are very affordable these days. On a quick look even 1 tb ssds for $65. https://www.computeralliance.com.au/1tb-crucial-bx500-2.5-sa…
Could also consider installing larger non ssd hds yourself pretty easily such as 4tb for storing less demanding games and storage.
If you're not handy though the $39 to upgrade is reasonable.

      • Yea while i do agree, my gripe is more that it's an unreasonable amount to start with. I've built every pc I've owned since about '97 but the value on these pre-built systems is fantastic.
Some of the systems I've been looking at lately use M-ATX boards and only come with a single M.2 slot, meaning you are either paying for a HDD you are going to remove and upgrade immediately, or you need to factor in buying another SSD and probably paying shipping on top.
Not a problem if you are spending thousands anyway, but for a cheap and cheerful system it would be nice to have everything you need right off the bat. Some of these systems don't have an upgrade option for either the main OS drive or a second drive.
This one does though… so.. yea.

    • It feels like that they know that and make most of their margins on the upgrades. Have not seen a build that was just enough yet

      • I wont mention the company here as it's probably poor form, but another regular OzBargain seller has 1TB drives as standard, I just wanted a slightly lower spec for the Mrs.

I should take my comment back, I just checked the upgrade option here and only $40 more for 1tb upgrade is honestly not a bad offer on bpc's part if you like every other aspect of the specs.

You'll need to add $199 for Win11 (unless you happen to have a spare key lying around).

    • +1

Or just buy a key online for $20

    • +2

No one's paying full price for windows these days

  • Is 650w enough for a 4070? Genuine question.

    • Yes, plenty. Gaming power draw is around 200w, and a 5600 will be well under 100w

  • I legit just bought a pc from bpc with a 3070 and this is only a bit more for a 4070… Any chance you guys could cancel my order so I can buy this?

    • Actually on second thoughts nvm, It would cost me quite a bit to upgrade ssd, and motherboard has no wifi, cpu is quite a bit slower on this one then the one I bought. Still pondering if the jump up from 3070 to 4070 is worth it tho.

      • It’s a much better value jump. And you get frame gen too

  • Would this run Assetto Corsa on triples x 1440p?

  • Any deals on 4080 like this one? https://www.bpctech.com.au/product/sv-el4080-siren-vortex-el…

Maybe slightly weaker cpu to bring down the price?

    • 7700X?

      • Not sure haha. Anything to get a 4080 build to $2500 that’s not a 12th gen intel

  • How long from order do these take to ship?? As I'm still waiting for an order I placed 2 weeks ago for the Kraken Nuke 110 Compact PC. I sent an e-mail last week & got this.
"We are still waiting our product manager to allocate the parts on this order" I still haven't heard anything back since then. And checking the website today, still has it as "Processing"
