@Homr: Use wood, cast iron or stainless steel ones. But yes if you use non stick vessels, then you are stuck with silicone ones..

Agreed. Silicon turners are a game changer. So much better at what they do (thinner), easier to clean and more hygienic, and heat resistant. Can't imagine going back to nylon, the price difference is minimal.
