PDF Printer for iPhone $0 (Was $2.99)

400

Hey Guys, this is my first post, hope this will help someone. I've used this app before and really help me in some ways.

It should be a ONE DAY DEAL.

iTunes Description:

PDF Printer is being offered for free for today only thanks to AppBump in the new AppsGoneFree app
★★★ iOS 6 Compatible ★★★ iPhone 5 Support ★★★
Save documents to PDF, print and share them right from the iPhone. PDF Printer is the easiest way for you to create Adobe PDF documents from Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Pages, Numbers, Keynote files as well as Photos and Contacts on the iPhone.

The updated PDF Printer is featuring the new possibilities and sources for creating and sharing of PDF documents. From now on, with PDF Printer you can merge several different documents in required order into a single PDF document!

PDF Printer presents an outstanding capability to create PDF versions of selected Text Messages threads. Simply select messages, add them to Messages tab in PDF Printer, define the required order and convert to PDF format.

Using internal Web-browser you can open, preview and convert to PDF any HTML page. This allows you to view saved pages later in the same form as they were displayed in your browser, even if you are not able to connect to the Internet by some reason. Moreover, you can save any web page to PDF and then copy it to another device using iTunes, for example to your Mac for detailed analysis. Also you can send pages in PDF format instead of just URLs to be sure that recipient would see them just the same way as you did in your browser.

You can copy documents to PDF Printer via USB cable using iTunes File Sharing. Once installed PDF Printer appears in the “Open In…” list for many popular file types. Thus you can convert attachments from Mail or documents opened with Safari. Even more - you can download documents from your Dropbox account and upload converted PDF documents back or simply print them using AirPrint.

Save to PDF and share:
• Pages, Numbers and Keynote documents
• Word, Excel and PowerPoint files
• Photos
• Pictures and Texts from Clipboard
• Emails and attachments
• Text Messages
• Contacts
• Web-pages

With PDF Printer you can:
• Transfer documents from desktop computers
• Open documents from Mail and Safari
• Download documents or pictures from your Dropbox account for converting
• Upload ready PDF documents to your Dropbox account
• Print documents via AirPrint

Converted PDF files could be opened in iBooks for best reading experience. Also, you can send PDFs by e-mail, open in other apps and even transfer to computer over USB using iTunes File Sharing.

can't believe there is an app for this, and I also can't believe that it was previously $2.99 !!! Apple are so far behind the game, it's unreal. Only 4 or 5 yrs ago they were the dominant force. But things change quickly I guess.

      I do not understand.

its all about the $$$. just sad.

This is just an app made by apps developer, not a product by Apple themselves.
And about the price of an app, whether it's $2.99 or @2999 or @.99, it depends on the developer not Apple as well.
So taking conclusion that apple is "far behind the game" and "not in the dominant force" doesn't make any sense, unless the comparison is made on the app directly developed by apple.

Not trying to defend apple in this case, I have both apple and android products. Both are good in their own ways. :)

    • One can read and print PDF files from the iBooks app that is made by Apple and happens to be a FREE download for all iOS devices.

Don't understand the lack of thought that went into that rant of yours clandestino.

  • So just so I am clear - this lets you convert documents to PDF format, not print PDF documents to a physical printer?

Based on my test, It allows you convert almost everything (webpage, documents from Dropbox, Photos, messages, mail and contacts) to PDF, and then you can share via Email, Dropbox. If you have iPhone supported printer (should be wireless), you can also print it out directly.

      • though it doesn't add the option to convert to pdf from apps with 'Print' options in iOS. You need to copy/paste for most options or use the browser within it to then get it to convert to pdf..

If it put an option as a pdf printer that you could print to from safari/mail it would be much better (though this probably isn't possible in un-jailbroken iOS land)
