Only in name, they are made here
The Asahi Group Holdings, Ltd. is a Japanese beverage holding company headquartered in Sumida, Tokyo.
It's the can variant is made in japan. these are the bottles.
@nicolascage: Not anymore, all here now
@triple675: Including the 500ml cans?
@Igaf: Yeah, they were my favorite, managed to get two cartons before the swap over
@triple675: There's plenty of Japanese cartons around.
Australian beers that are owed by Asahi include; Carlton, Victoria Bitter and great northern.
@MainlagToby: I drink Coopers on Australia day.
It is brewed in Australia, but like most foreign beer that is brewed in Australia it's not worth drinking.
Not huge on flavour but there's nothing wrong with it.
Yep good sessionability.
No, but the imported one (in the can) is much better. Not by having more flavour, but being cleaner and crisper.
@askvictor: I'd bet my house most people couldn't tell the difference in a blind taste test of a dozen samples.
I have both and the difference is minimal to my taste buds, but I do generally prefer beer from bottles. There was a video years ago of a bloke sampling the Chinese cans V Japanese brew and his completely subjective opinion was that the Chinese was "better" (ie his preference). Lots of things affect your drinking and eating experiennces.
@askvictor: Agree, whenever I can get the cans for around 50-60$ I get a case.
@askvictor: Can brewed here now
Expiry?
Valid until January 21st
I think they mean when does the beer expire, ie is it on clearance because it's short dated.
Thanks Dekekun - it's not short-dated, several months until expiry.
Where at?
Ewwww these are twrrible opened one but didn't end up finishing it
Username doesn't checkout
Website tells me invalid code - delivery to postcode 3150
Same to most postcodes in rural QLD and NSW.
Wish they were the cans.
Go the Reschs longnecks for $48.59. Now there is value!
pretty poor taste to celebrate the day england declared sovereignty over australia, resulting in massacres, slavery, dispossession and eternal loss of culture, but you do you OP
Meh. Could be worse
imagine if germans celebrated the start of ww2
Did you just compare WW2 with the arrival of civilised humans of Australia?
@pformag: Did you just declare Australia had no civilised humans prior to English take over?
A stray alien .
Does make you think about how we send signals and artefacts into outerspace to let any potential other life forms know we are here… Never really worked out for the native population (regardless of who it is)
And how did we get here??
Umm back on track.. price match at Dan Murphy's
@tunzafun001: Yes he did. Unbelievable
Jacinta Price disagrees because without the invasion she wouldn't exist. Never mind the fact that millions of other things before and after that had to happen inorder for her to come into being.
A black white supremacist. How could this have happened?
Based on her public utterances, I thinks she's an apologist with very limited intellect, not a white supremacist. Happens across the globe.
@Igaf: Quoting Chappelle's show skit but ok
@belongsinforums: You'll have to elaborate, I don't watch it. Not evryone who disagrees on this issue is a white supremacist. In fact I'd suggest very few are.
@Igaf: the premise of the joke is that a blind black american guy becomes the leader of the KKK and nobody has the gall to tell him hes black
@belongsinforums: Well they're usually gutless and often stupid, so I can appreciate the joke
Look like the code BEER10 does not work anymore.
@Ralu04 should still be working. I can see people using it, and its valid for another 9 days

I just tried again, not more than 10 minutes ago. Delivery to 3150 (not even regional melbourne). Still invalid code. Should change title to reflect
