I’m not paying the 10cents for that stupid recycling thing!

No way, glass is so much better to drink out of.

      • -8

Yes but the added weight makes taking out the rubbish more of a hassle. Fill a rubbish bag with plastic bottles vs all glass bottles, huge difference.

        • +6

Neither glass nor plastic are for a rubbish bag.

          Recycle.

Or in OZB spirit, return for 10 cents.

    • Why on earth world you want plastic? ☣️

Because a complete cradle-to-grave life cycle assessment of PET compared with glass and aluminium demonstrates that PET, interestingly, has the lowest environmental impact of the three packaging types.

I’m more concerned about my heath than environmental impact. I’ll still recycle and most of my glass bottles aren’t single use.

@PainToad: Plastic bottles have been in use for well over 40 years by billions of people. If there were negative health consequences we'd have noticed by now.

            • @Mr Bob Dobalina: 1) The extent of plastic bottle usage is relatively new. Certainly not 40 years.
              2) We probably already have been seeing the negative health effects, but it takes time and research to prove those links - which we are now starting to see.

            • @Mr Bob Dobalina: I think BPA plastics are very well known about

Napcor, national association for PET container resources

Ohh yea, no bias in that study.

A glass bottle can be hygienically cleaned and reused X amount of times. There's no contest.

          • @Fudgie the whale: A cradle-to-grave accounts for transport and the weight of glass and the energy intensive remelting process actually makes it uncompetitive. There are plenty of other verified LCAs (cited and peer reviewed) that identify recycled PET as having a lower environmental impact compared to glass (e.g., https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11367-020-01804-x). Ultimately though, we should be either avoiding or reusing where we can, so that we don't need to transport, sort and crush plastic or remelt glass, or risk either going to landfill or waterways.

  • Have they stopped producing sarsaparilla? Haven’t seen it in a long time.

Don’t bother with Woolworths and their unreliable stock.

      https://amzn.asia/d/4xIe9tO

Can’t wait for Amazon to expand to full groceries and be done with them completely.

      • Have you ever worked at woolworths? If not I think you would be mindblown the amount of work every night it requires to fill those shelves, like its actually insane, and they have a few things out of stock sometimes. Usually due to customers buying large quantities or the supplier of the product having supply issues

I’m not blaming the workers. I’m blaming the company and their shit processes and slow distribution network.

  • How does their ginger beer compare to Kirks?

    • Bundaberg Diet Ginger Beer is the best. Not too sweet, enough ginger zing without it being bitey.

      • without it being bitey

Which one is the most bitey that you’ve tried?

  • LL&B is a favourite of Ross Noble. I’m going to try it.

  • Waiting for Amazon to price match this

  • The bundaberg passionfruit tastes so good
