    I miss the free tier

Kinto membership is free and you can rent the cars by the hour but they're not in many locations.

I actually switched to carnextdoor but I've been using it much less since uber took over.

        • True there's Turo and Drivemate too.

      • Partner recently used Kinto and both was happy, but weidly outside of car was really dirty, surely toyota dealership could atleast wash them since most car yards now seem to have an army of Indians that come clean their cars at night.

Hi Rep, so what does this even give you?

    • Hi WatchNerd, You get the 1st month of membership on our best plan - the GoFrequent Plan for free (usually $30/month, with a $25 joining fee). You get a month to try us on at our best usage rates. If it's not for you, you can downgrade to one of our cheaper plans, our free GoVan plan, or cancel at anytime.

So it doesn't really give you anything, just access to be able pay & use the service? Kind of like an entry fee.

        • they are giving you first month free access to the program. What do you expect? They pay you to use their cars?🤣🤣

@syswong: But aren't we on a bargain website? Where is the bargain?

            • @WatchNerd: You save $55 dollars if you are a potential GoGet customer. don't like it then go somewhere else.

              • +2

@syswong: Don't be sucked into joining fees, they are just a made up fake charge by businesses to extract more money out of customers.

                • -2

@WatchNerd: So you think legitimate car sharing business should let you drive for free when every kilometer / every day cost money? What make you think you have the right to take money out of other people's pocket?

Lucky that GoGet did not offer free drive, otherwise they will be inundated with self fish people like you.

No, where did I say that? This is a free membership for a month as the Rep explained above.

What make you think you have the right to take money out of other people's pocket?

I never said anything like that at all.

                    • @WatchNerd:

You said before "So it doesn't really give you anything" and you said "Don't be sucked into joining fees, they are just a made up fake charge by businesses to extract more money out of customers."

So what did you expect a Car Share company will give you that you will consider a deal?

@syswong: Not sure how you could get my comments so twisted like that.

We are on a bargain website so a good deal would have a genuine discount. This post doesn't have one hence the poor response from members. Waiving a joining fee for a month is basically just using OzB for free advertising.

                        • -1

@WatchNerd: See why I say you are kidding yourself? You think GoGet need to advertise on OZB? Next vision in your mind must be Bruce Jeffreys donate some of his bonus to create a free drive deal…

We are on a bargain website so a good deal would have a genuine discount.

They offered you a $55 discount but you are not happy about the "discount"

                        • @WatchNerd: well I would still consider this a bargain as I'm heading to Syd within the next couple of weeks, with the intention of using GoGet and have never used the platform before. Had this post not come up, I would've had to pay the $55 on top of the usage charges and ergo, bargain.

                          • @blahoz: That's great, we are all allowed to have an opinion without being told you're selfish or go somewhere else if you don't like it.

Don't forget to turn off auto-renewal so you don't get charged for the following month.

                          • @blahoz: Exactly, Quote what I said " You save $55 dollars if you are a potential GoGet customer."

May be they should sharp the deal to one hour drive free (but have to pay to join).🤣🤣

                      • +1

@syswong: I dont think anyone is disputing the fact that there should be a charge per usage. What's being debated is the "membership fee"

I guess it's just a different business model. Would you rather shop at Costco for a membership fee or just at your local colesworth

                        • @SmiTTy: I would happily pay the Costco membership if I drive…

@syswong: Gees, pretty rude mate to go around calling people a fish.

How would you like it if someone called you a "self fish" ?
