    "fascinating".

    Heading www.amazon.co.uk maximum warp…… engage!

I wonder why THIS set is more expensive than getting the 2 boxes seperately?

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Star-Trek-Remastered-Special-Blu-ray…

Maybe they are remastered and the one mentioned here isn't?

    • both are remastered.

your link quotes remastered boxset with movies 1-10, the OP's one (1-6) doesnt mention it but if you check out the pics in the ad and look closely at one of them, they are definitely remastered and 7.1 sound.

instead of your one, its best to buy OP's one then buy the other 4 on their own if you want them.

    • That's not the whole first season of Star Trek Next Generation it's just a sampler disc. It's only 3 episodes from the season.

    This price is illogical…..

Not bad. But i paid $41.51 USD (before delivery) for the Region 1 DVD version of this box set from Amazon US a few weeks ago. The NTSC version is probably better any how if it was even a few dollars more. None of the PAL speedup.

    • Most blurays differ from DVD in that they retain the correct framerate, from what I understand. Bluray movies from the UK should have a framerate of 23.976 fps.

If someone that knows for certain could confirm one way or the other, it'd be helpful.

      • Yeah that's true it's all the same framerate on blu-ray.

Actually it's a bargain compared to the $153.99 that it retails for here in Australia at JB Hi-Fi. I only wish i didn't already have it on DVD.

      • In PAL territories (like ours) you will find the occasional blu-ray release that still suffers from PAL speed-up (eg. Pulp Fiction, In Bruges are 1080i/50) as they've been sourced from HD PAL masters, but yes, the overwhelming majority are 1080p/24 (23.976fps).

Comparing a DVD set to a Blu Ray set is illogical

    Beam me up Scotty!

  • you might need these as well http://www.1-day.com.au/products/AA4HSN1SF#

    =p

  • Thanks OP, just ordered :).

$6.50 a movie (remastered on bluray and delivered) is an Ozbargain in my book!!!!

  • I think this one is expired. :( Trust me to leave it to the last minute.
It's showing on Amazon at £44.27 but oddly CamelX3 is showing out of stock?
Anyone wanna sell their copy at a slight premium?

    • Yep looks like 65.23AUD to me at the checkout.
