Hi Guys, recommend me a front Load Washer under $800 ( 8+ kg).

to save water, electricity AND detergent. More expensive to buy nut save money in the long run.
They have the advantage of being able to use gravity for agitation. This results in a better wash with less water and is gentiler on the clothes.
Even though horses have some advantages, I think automobiles are superior overall.
Personally, I prefer a top loader… and getting a second hand one for $200 - $300 is even better.
Find a local appliance repair person - they will have a way of either selling one to you or knowing someone who can. Our guy has a friend who gets the traded in ones from the shops like Good Guys etc., refurbishes them and then on-sells.
Looking for front loader only and new.
me too boss. got a $700 gift card for appliances online, tossing up between these two and a haier model.

Nothing can beat $349 new 8.5KG washing machine from Samsung few months ago.
Samsung 8.5kg Front Load Washer WW85T3040WW is $535 from TGG but I would still pay $700 for F&P or LG over it.
So has to be brand spanking? You can get ex-demo Miele for close to that money

Miele outlet. I acquired a WCA020 with hardly any usage for $994 (retail $1,549). At the time there were a few other models with slightly higher demo loads for less money. Much of Miele's display and working demo stock appears to be sold via their outlets.
Got burnt once by Miele "demo" washer. It turned out to be returned (only knew it 6 years down the road from the Miele repair guy….found a repair record BEFORE my purchase). ACL didn't apply either as it was a "demo" and i had over 1000 hours of usage (onboard computer says so). (and most likely not by me but by previous owners)
@sumyungguy: Electronic Control board … that was like 10 years ago. It was like $500 for parts. I bought a Bosch and it is still working…. touchwood
Take a look at Beko, they have 5 years warranty if you register:
Edit: 15th Feb ETA on that one, but there are other models, some for less.

Everything is fine other than
- Gets confused and locks out functions until you have power cycled it.
- The shock mounts to the body are flimsy causing the machine to squeak and buck no matter how level and firm its placed. It once bucked off the dryer into the wall.AO point me to Beko, Beko point me to AO.
Neither is taking responsibility.I would not recommend BEKO and regret not buying another Sammy when our 8 year old Samsung busted the spider arm.

bought beko 10kg Front loader BFL1010 from JB when on Special mid last year. love the feature of washing max load in 28 mins as manual instructed
completely regretting.
it is a Dancing machine. keep banging on the sink and cabinet next to it even it has 10 cm gap in between.
move it out to the garden later on, it turned over 90 degree even washing half load. keep pulling water inlet hose and power cable.
long fight (over few month ) during warranty claim between Beko Agent and Beko. at the end, Beko ask the agent to change shocks and other parts. same thing.
Agent wanted us to prove it with video, spend $350 for a video cam and send them videos with dancing washing machine.
they finally agreed to refund store credit.
IMO, this 5-10 years warranty is BS. Take them to fair trading with video evidence is the best bet.

I have never used it but it can get very very cheap (less than $600, including delivery + removal of old appliance) when they are on sale.
Looking at reviews, it seems your F&P washer is a better choice than this Altus unit.
I have had the LG 8KG WV5-1208W for 2.5 years now and cannot fault it. It's perfect, we use it 3-4 times a week and hasn't skipped a beat. The app is great too to add more cycles. One thing I will say is do not get the 7.5kg, the tub for that one is tiny.
Chiming in to say my LG Front loader (not that model) is now over 15 years old and - touch wood - hasn't missed a beat. Would definitely buy LG again.

I have a Miele W 1712 honeycomb 6.5L for 17y.
The other day I noticed a loud bang and burning smell (which also tripped the apartment circuit breaker/safety switch).This occurred after a load was completed and the machine was sitting idle and turned on. Without knowing too much about it I am assuming it could be an overheating/motor burnout or wire coating worn through and touching something. Not exactly game do do another load but could turn on. Would prefer it diagnosed first.
It stll seems good and usually I'd repair over replace if possible. From the comment above a if it is the circuit board it sounds like the most expensive component (~$500+) plus a $200 callout.
Not much discount on these by the look of it, only the Miele 10% off and ext. to 5y wty. 7L WCA020 ~$1395
Any thoughts on Electrolux? I'm happy to stay away from Samsung & F&P.

I got my WCA020 from the Miele Outlet, ex-demo 13 hours $994. My first Miele washer lasted 32 years before faulting for the first time, I think it needed motor brushes but I chose to update.
Sounds good, usually I'd go for the same brand if I was happy with it. The W 1712 is very solid, i'm not convinced it is even stuffed.
Just testing it again now. I did a spin cycle ok, just doing an empty express wash. Perhaps I had too many things on at once and tripped the circuit breaker. Don't know what the loud bang and smell was. Thinking more of an elect / heat or current fault, will see how it goes. Seems too good to bin it, and if it was the main board the display and buttons wouldn't work.So it may be ok, could always get the Miele tech out for $199 if still concerned. Otherwise the Bosch Series 4 8kg Front Load WAN24124AU looks good as a cheaper alternative for $753(31% off) -$30 referral, free delivery, connection, free removal and recycling of old one. Bosch frenzie ends tonight though.

We are sold out, but here are some other Stores you may be interested in.
Miele site visit comes off the repair or can be applied to a new purchase (not outlet stock). The outlets are physical stores which you can phone to enquire about inventory.
@sumyungguy: The Miele lady didn't say that, but I had a feeling it may be the case. The $199 includes first 30 mins of labour & diagnostics, then gets expensive after that plus parts. hmm may not hurt to get a service and confirm nothing touching or leaks inside the machine anyway. Seems alright to be honest, that cycle finished.
Yeah there is an outlet not too far near me but new machine would be the go.
@G-rig: Outlets have both ex-demo and ex-display stock. My dishwasher and fridge were brand new, ex-display stock. When you consider Miele owns all their inventory they have plenty of ex-display stock coming back through their warehouses. In the past they allowed retailers to sell off their display stock but I understand this is no longer the case.

That 10% and extra 3y warranty for new models ends 30/06/24 otherwise. 10% off doesn't seem like much really compared to 30% of the Bosch.I think this is fine still after testing, did an express wash finished fine (so it's not the main board, not the motor not the fuse). Should get a lot longer out of it, but will keep an eye on itm suspect that I over loaded the power point circuit with too much stuff going at once.

Replaced my 27 year old Bosch with a Bosch series 4 from Appliances Online last week. $753 delivered, installed and old one removed. Looked at the Series 6 which were $900 odd but settled for Series 4, made in Poland v China.
Can get some bargains on Samsung machines. I bought the 9kg bespoke black front loader last month for $780 (down from $1300), albeit on the edu store. You could use the Westpac, CommBank stores though.
If you're purely seeking functionality then they have much cheaper machines of a similar capacity. They still look great imo.
why i feel everyone is looking for front not top loader these days? it is the trend has changed?
