    mesh is better…

    • +1

      It's EasyMesh compatible

    • Just saw you commented after I posted mine below. What makes a mesh better? Unified network, ie. devices don't need to switch between separate networks?

      • +1

Yes. One network so a client can seamlessly move around a property on one network, which automatically pushes your connection to the closer router/access point without reconnecting.

EasyMesh is an open standard and supports ethernet backhaul connection between access points.
OneMesh is a TP-Link trademark version and does not support ethernet backhaul currently.

  • I'm currently using a cheap mesh, 3 wirelessly daisy-chained units (the last one having terrible transfers - which is probably expected*) and have been considering upgrading it to a less cheap mesh with ethernet cable connection, but I'm wondering - perhaps two of these would work better?

    • daisy chained as in main ("0") node has the 1st node connected wirelessly, and then another 2nd node connects wirelessly to the 1st one, so it's 0-1-2, as opposed to the usual 1-0-2 main+satellites setup.
  • Showing as $82.95 here.

    • Oops… too late… the 25% discount is now down to 16% only hence the $82.95 price increase… happy to mark this offer as expired…

  • You do realise you can’t price match Officeworks because the model is different to the Amazon link is shown above

    Amazon RE705x
    Officeworks RE700x

    • Oh really? I wonder what the difference is… but I did get a price match… they compared tp link AC1750 RE450 and that was good enough :)

    • Ah, sorry just saw that you were referring to the other model

  • Not sure if allowed to post this here. I have one but have no need of it anymore. If anyone interested, drop me a msg.
