½ Price Cancer Council Face Day Wear Invisible SPF50+ 150ml $10.50 @ Coles & Amazon (Sold Out)

190

OzBargain's winner of the favourite face sunscreen 2023 poll is on half price at Coles and Amazon is price matching (Sold Out). The 150ml is cheaper per ml than 75ml. Based on the catalogue cycle, the special will probably end today.

This formula has been a favourite on the Australian market for several years due to it's light, non-greasy texture. Note that it is not water resistant so it's meant for comfortable daily use, not for a day at the beach.

Instructions unclear…..just bought ½ price face cancer.

    • Whoops, fixed title

  • Seems like they’ve stopped producing the invisible finish? I could only find the matte finish at my local CMW last month and thought it was just out of stock at that store..

The 'invisible finish' is the same product as this. It just comes in two sizes, 75ml or 150ml. Both have ARTG number 299764 so they are identical formulas even though the labelling is a bit different. 150ml is a better deal.

Edit: You can zoom in on the product images for 75ml vs 150ml to see the AUST L number at the bottom

Ah interesting, thanks for sharing. Seems like they’ve just updated the labeling. The one im using atm (purchased >12months ago) has ‘invisible’ instead of ‘matte finish’.

Also - Those with GMHBA health insurance can claim up to $50 on cancer council products a year. I stock up when there’s 50% off to maximise this benefit each year

        • That's awesome that you can claim on CC products with your insurance provider!

I recommend the ALDI sunscreen at $4 which is a dupe of Hamilton sunscreen

That's my choice as well due to the newer sunscreen filters, but people are more familiar with Cancer council formula.

Note: Aldi one is 60ml, price per 100ml is $6.65/100ml, this is $7/100ml so actually not much dearer compared to Aldi, if price is the only concern.

  • Is this good for the use in water? Sick of sunscreen burning my eyes

Ive tried a different invisible sunscreen and it definitely wanst invisible.

    • See description:

Note that it is not water resistant so it's meant for comfortable daily use, not for a day at the beach.

    • I have the same issue with stinging my eyes when I swim or sweat.

      Try some zinc based sunscreen.

It's not 100% invisible, but hey better than stinging your eyes or getting burned.

It stays on much longer after a swim too.

    • Don’t know about water resistance, but this one definitely burns my eyes

    • The blue one is also the same price and is water resistant. Also goes on matte, not greasy like other sunscreens i've tried, and also doesn't stink like sunscreen. Highly recommend.

  • $8 at Woolies for the 75mL

I usually get their BB cream when it's on sale, which it currently is at Woolies as well. Looks like they're having a brand sale for Cancer Council.

  • My Amazon order arrived today - but it was a couple of heat resistant mats! Wtf
