Champion thank you
Game is good, price is good, but I am afraid it runs like a three-legged rocking horse—it took 3rd in the Digital Foundry list of 2023's worst ports and they speculated that it may be insoluble due to it having novel implementations within the Frostbite engine and potentially abandoned because of the recent support cycles EA has been operating in. I am afraid to say it was more enjoyable on my xbox than on my far better specced PC.
Interesting. We had some dog PC ports this year, right? I remember Jedi Survivor being near broken in many of the release reviews, then was surprised to see it hitting some people's GoTY lists, invariably they played it on console.
Great game, never played the original and this was a real treat. Had just played Callisto before this and enjoyed that a lot, helps not to have had the comparison with the DS series going in. Played on PS5 and recall some sludging frames in choice spots, otherwise good.
I'd love to see EA remake the rest of the series. I'm not hopeful..
Yeah, it's a real shame. Jedi Survivor was 2nd worst and Wild Hearts was the overall winner making a clean sweep for EA in this unappealing category.
It ran absolutely fine on my PC at the time. Never dropped below 60fps.
It runs fine on decent systems. I have r7 5700x and 3080 and only had stutter issue at launch but earlier updates did fix it. I am very susceptible to shader stutters meaning i can easily notice those micro stuttering/lag (its a curse). There might be few issues here and there in whole game but it runs pretty smoothly. I recommend it as long as your cpu is from last 2 amd/intel generation.
I am blasting with a 7600x, 32gb DD5 6000, 6800xt and 990pro NVME with everything tweaked and stability tested and it remains very irritating to me. Here's the DF clip from two days ago that goes into detail on the nature of the stuttering.
Maybe don't watch if you don't notice.
I didn’t have a single issue with this game. 4070 + 7900X3D. Game ran like a champ. YMMV
Will wait for freebies
