Hawes & Curtis (Again) 4 Formal Shirts for £90 (although worked out at £77.45 for me)

90

First deal posting! Several previous smart ar#e comments though.
Here's the advertised deal but it's not quite that much…
4 formal shirts for £90
3 Ladies shirts for £66
3 Curtis shirts for £90

I did a test and picked 4 formal shirts and put this through and turns out to cost me £77.45(inc. shipping) with CODE 'dealfish'.
So for H&C shirts at approx $30 a pop, this is a decent deal.

  • love their shirts, i have been lucky enough to visit their stores in London and usually pick up 1/2 doz or more. Good price when on sale.

  • Getting an error when I try and checkout about them performing a stock take, have to keep trying I guess.

  • Can anyone comment on the fit of the St James vs a 'fully fitted' shirt from TM Lewin? And how does the quality compare?

    • +1

I have bought 4 shirts from TM Lewin and 4 shirts from Hawes & Curtis, all of which were the companies slim fitting shirts (St James and Fully Fitted). My comments:

      Fit
      - The Fully Fitted from TM Lewin are definitely more fitted or "slimmer". I find the St James still puffs up around the waist on me (admittedly I have a tiny waist).

      Fabric
      - I prefer the H&C shirts as I feel they breath easier. They are a bitch to iron though.
      - The TMLewin shirts feel like they have more plastic in them which on the one hand means easier ironing, but on the other hand means they leave you feeling really hot and sticky and rather uncomfortable especially in our Aussie summer.

      Quality
      - I haven't noticed much of a difference between them in terms of how well they are put together.

      • Thanks mate!
I too have a tiny waist (31ish) and find TM Lewins fully fitted a pretty decent fit. And greatly dislike that puffed out waist thing you refer to…..

Hmmmm, thats thrown a spanner in the works.

        How bad is the puffing?

EDIT - Just checking the sizes for those who care:
        TM Lewin size 15 = Chest size 42 = Waist size 35.75
Hawes and Curtis Size 15 = Chest size 43.7 = Waist size 39

So there is a significant difference in 'slimness'. Its a shame, as TM Lewin never have a decent range to choose from in their 'fully fitted' collection.

OT but anyone care to mention any other English shirt brands that have a slim fit shirt option?

  • Damn! I cannot get it to 77 pounds for 4 shirts..

    It's showing 118 pounds excludling P&P..

    • oh I see. It doesn't work for non-iron shirts.
