Hi all, Same as last year - Heritage/InComm have blocked the usage of Coles Mastercard at ATO which is against the terms and conditions as per the product at the time of purchase.

Response from Heritage Bank Nov-22 after the change petition was raised and multiple emails were sent

I have created a new petition and request the members to please support by

    Same as last year

LOL so you didn't learn from last time?

    • +1

They have unblocked it to meet the terms.
I'd say Heritage Bank didn't learn from last time.

Seems like the old saying….. fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me

  • Sounds like convenient way to launder money.

    Second link is correct

  • Thank you for doing this. Signed.

  • Signed and emailed. I will also lodge a complaint with AFCA. Thanks for doing this!

Are you certain the ATO didn't just block all prepaid cards?

    • I don't think so. The error message would have been different if that was the case

  • +1

They have blocked a whole bunch of their cards from being tokenised which is a requirement under PCI rules. This includes Vanilla prepaid cards. It's caused no end of issues for my team who bought them for testing and now can't use them. Curse you Heritage Bank.

  • Doesn't the ATO charge cr/card fees if paying using a card?

  • Signed and emailed.

  • +1

Why are you emailing to AFCA? This is a waste of their time, they can’t do anything until you’ve gone through the bank’s IDR process

  • Signed for you!

  • I dont really understand - why do you need to use this prepaid Mastercard with BUPA and the tax office?

    • +3

So you can get a discount, collect CC points and meet CC spend requirements when churning.

  • Merged from Party over for Paying ATO Using Coles Prepaid Mastercard?

Looks like party is over to pay ATO with Coles Prepaid Mastercard?

I have not paid anything since last year and when I tried 3 different cards none of them are been accepted.

    Anyone else have luck?

I wish more of these came out again. Good for electricity bills :)

Good timing considering your 90% commission drop next week.

So my misfortune somehow gives you the high?! Well Karma is a b**ch and you never know what might come behind and bite your ass in the new year

        • +1

No. I'm suggesting that you probably won't need to pay as much tax next year so the prepaid MasterCard issue is probably a non event.

@MS Paint: Not how I interpreted it.

@Aerith-Waifu: That makes sense. It was very ambiguous.

In 4 hours there will be no ambiguity when my NYE resolution kicks in.

            • @Aerith-Waifu: Maybe you need to catch up on some of your favourite hobby..

Have you tried iTune gift vouchers?

      • There's a limit of 10 per day.

    • I tried it and they all worked so not sure what you're on about.

      • how long ago did you try it? today?

  • Just tried to use Coles Prepaid Mastercard on Banggood and it's been declined.

  • They've replied saying it's now unblocked. Anyone try for ATO again?

    • Did you write to them? Do have a transcript of the email and response that you could share please?

  • I might try tomorrow

  • +1

Just tried with two cards and they're still being declined.

    • Thanks, did you try physical or digital cards?

  • Just tried with physical card and still declined

Received email from heritage saying income has unblocked the merchants. Haven’t tried it myself yet

      • +1

yea but just tried again and still declined

  • Contact your card issuer. We were unable to process your payment.

Let’s all reply back to heritage to get ATO unblocked by incomm

  • the reply I got..Incomm have advised that the blocks they placed on the merchants has been removed however merchants may decide not to accept the cards.

    • It’s the same response they sent out to everyone

  • Why did Incomm block ATO as a merchant in the first place? Is that illegal? How to know if Incomm has removed the block? Is that a lie? Has ATO blocked the card?

    • We can get answers to those only if we reply back to Heritage and put pressure on them.

Just tried and its accepted!!! thanks op and everyone else

    • +1

      wohoo!!!It is working..

    • +1

Thanks for posting. Working for me as well. Thanks to @SydOzber for leading the charge.

    • Tried & accepted where? ATO?

  • The best course of action is to stop buying and using these cards. I can't believe we have to beg them to use our own money.

  • These are also blocked at Woolworths from buying other gift cards. Can we start a petition for that as well. I'm sure I'm not the only1 to have this issue. We should get Activ.

    • Is it just you can’t buy other gift cards or anything from woollies?
Woollies might be blocking it and not incomm

      • It's blocked on Woolworths end. Comes up as "item not allowed" as soon as swiping the card.

        • How do you swipe? Isnt this a digital card?

  • Thanks SydOzber

  • Looks like they unblocked ATO and unrestricted Woolies using more than 3 cards in same time.
